Police have reopened the 41-year-old case of an unidentified man found dead at a golf course in Melbourne’s northeast.
The man was found dead in scrub along a walking track at the edge of the Ivanhoe Golf Course on 29 September 1970.
Police believe the cause of the death is a condition called coronary artery disease myocardial degeneration.
A bottle of angina tablets and a one-way train ticket from Melbourne were found on the man.
Police have been unable to identify the man despite an extensive search of missing person, medical and dental records.
He is believed to have been aged in his early 40s and was around 174cm tall, with curly auburn and grey hair and a moustache.
Police are calling on the public to help identify the man.
