Praying for Our Defense Contractors

My heart is heavy for America, as I watch the Marxist communist ideology attempt to infiltrate nearly every aspect of our lives. From our military to our schools, to our TV shows and movies, we are under a constant barrage begging us to listen to lies. Lies about the founding of this great country, our civil liberties, our fellow man, our gender. I work for one of the top defense contractors in America, and I’ve been increasingly saddened to see some of the same lies perpetuated in this industry as well.

I recently received a corporate email with stories from employees explaining why they chose to get the COVID vaccination. One employee stated, “It’s about keeping family, friends, and coworkers safe.” I was immediately struck with this thought, “That is a lie. Vaccines do nothing to protect anyone else. They protect you, the vaccinated.” I have heard this lie so often over the past several months that it is now officially propaganda. Propaganda is a tactic commonly used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Why is a large defense contractor for America engaging in a tactic used by communist China, our No. 1 enemy? It is my patriotic duty to ask this question.

Another message came just prior to Memorial Day and ended with this statement: “The pandemic has shone a light on many of the liberties we take for granted. This Memorial Day, please join me in pausing to remember those who have served to make those privileges possible.” One word jumped off my computer screen more than any other. Privileges. This may have been nothing more than a poor choice of words. But what if it wasn’t? What if it was language specifically chosen to promote a particular narrative? In that case, let us never forget that our civil liberties are not privileges. Our civil liberties are God-given rights, as defined in the Bill of Rights by our Founding Fathers. Our liberty is not a privilege doled out by the government as it sees fit. It is every American’s right, given to us by God. How could a company dedicated to serving and defending this country have such a skewed understanding of our liberty?

As I close, I’m reminded of another company message expressing support for “historically oppressed” communities and how saying nothing sends a signal of apathy, so he must reaffirm his stance on diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a side note, I wanted to respond to that email and ask if, in the name of equity, he’d swap salaries with me, but I digress. He said something I couldn’t agree with more. To say nothing indicates apathy, which is why I’m writing this today.  I love my country, and I love my job. I am surrounded by many wonderful, patriotic men and women. Now is the time for patriots to respectfully, but emphatically, speak out against even the smallest acts of Marxist communist ideology, lest it snowballs into something bigger. It is our obligation. Our duty. We owe it to our Founding Fathers, men of faith willing to forsake all for our freedom. What are we willing to forsake for the next generation? I fear not much, as I watch millions of Americans dutifully give up their civil rights without so much as a second thought.

Let us strive to leave behind a legacy of courage, strength, and passion with no regard for the cost, rather than one of apathy. Freedom is a hard-fought battle every day by every American, civilian, and military. Just as our military cannot fall to Marxist ideology and effectively keep America safe, neither can our defense contractors. So will you join me in praying for America’s Defenders, of which I have been a proud part, before it is too late, and will you stand up for America wherever God has currently placed you?
