Progressives fleeing from Hillary, willing to make America great again in exchange for no WWIII

If Hillary Clinton gets elected president of the United States, she would lead the world towards World War III, an American political analyst says.

Stephen Lendman, a writer, syndicated columnist, TV commentator, and radio show host in Chicago, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Monday, after Clinton, the Democratic presidential frontrunner, said her campaign has evidence that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump supported the 2003 Iraq war.

“Well, he supported it. We have evidence and audio of him supporting it. So I think that’s another example of him trying to rewrite history,” Clinton said on Sunday.

“What she didn’t say was that she voted for it, and she was the one who orchestrated the war on Libya, turning Africa’s most developed nation into a dysfunctional failed state – chaotic, violent, endless conflict,” Lendman said.

“She orchestrated the war on Syria and endless war again, killing half a million, displacing half of the population,” he added. “Hillary Clinton has a habit of blaming other people for faults and ignoring her own high crimes.”

Lendman said the “possibility for a Clinton presidency literally raised the possibility of World War III to a level that nobody should ever want to tolerate.”

“Trump is certainly not the answer to the problems that America is facing in the world. I would call his presidency a disaster before even it begins,” he stated.

“But at least he is not Hillary Clinton, which I have said a number of times and here I say it again: Hillary Clinton is a major threat to world peace,” he added.

“Four years with her in the White House, the chances of World War III would be greater than any time in my life time,” the analyst concluded.

Trump has censured Clinton for her support of the Iraq invasion, and said that the former secretary of state should apologize to the victims of the Iraq war, which she voted in favor of as a senator.

Clinton said on Sunday that “it was a mistake” to vote for the war.

In March 2003, the United States and Britain invaded Iraq in blatant violation of international law and under the pretext of finding Weapons of Mass Destruction; but no such weapons were ever discovered in Iraq.

More than one million Iraqis were killed as the result of the US-led invasion, and subsequent occupation of the country, according to California-based investigative organization Project Censored.

In March 2011, when Clinton was secretary of state, the US and its European allies started airstrikes in Libya to help militants fighting against the government of Muammar Gaddafi.

Gaddafi was deposed and murdered later that year after the fall of the capital Tripoli to militants in August.

The ensuing power vacuum allowed various militant groups, including many extremist and terrorist organizations, to gain power in the country and exploit its natural resources.

Nearly five years after the overthrow of Gaddafi, Libya has become a failed state, with the central government holding no sway over the country.
