The health of Queen Elizabeth II is causing doctors concern and they have recommended she remain under medical supervision, Buckingham Palace has announced.
“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” the statement read. “The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”
It comes a day after the 96-year-old monarch cancelled a meeting of her Privy Council and was told to rest.
Prince Charles and Camilla have travelled up to Scotland to be with the Queen.

Royal family heading to Balmoral
All of the Queen’s children are now either at or on route to Balmoral Castle to be with her, according to report.
Prince Charles and Princess Anne are already at Balmoral, while Prince Andrew is on his way, along with Edward, the Count of Wessex.

Leader of the Church of England issues a statement
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, the principal religious leader in the Church of England, issued his own statement.
“My prayers, and the prayers of people across the Church of England and the nation, are with Her Majesty The Queen today,” he said.
“May God’s presence strengthen and comfort Her Majesty, her family, and those who are caring for her at Balmoral.”

Whole country concerned, says British PM
On Tuesday, the Queen broke with tradition to stay at Balmoral in Scotland to appoint new UK prime minister Liz Truss.
Normally, such an event would take place at Buckingham Palace in London.
Truss, reacting to the Buckingham House statement, said “the whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime”.
“My thoughts — and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom — are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time,” she said on Twitter.
