Buckingham Palace confirmed last night that the Queen, 85, and the Duke of Edinburgh, 90, would be in the city on October 26.

The Queen will open the new hospital, of which she is patron, and also visit the National Gallery of Victoria’s Ian Potter Centre in Federation Square.

On October 28, the Queen will open the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Perth and attend a banquet in her honour.

The royal couple will spend their last day in Australia celebrating with a Big Aussie BBQ in Perth before returning to England on October 29.
