Awake Goy TEHRAN, Jan. 05 (MNA) – Behtash Sanaeiha’s ‘Risk of Acid Rain’ will be reportedly embarked on a large-scale international publicity and will be screened in Prague, Washington, and Boston.
The film will be screened in Washington, US capital this week. The second screening will be in Boston, Massachusetts, in competition sector of the 22nd Boston Festival of Films from Iran, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and finally it will be a contender in competition section of 5th Prague Iranian Film Festival, January 13-18.
Rakhshan Banietemad, Safi Yazdanian, Majid Barzgar, Reza Mirkarimi and Houman Seyedi are among the crew of the film. Behtash Sanaeiha is now in Prague as the guest director. ‘Risk of Acid Rain’ had been screened beginning November 9 2015 by ‘Art and Experience’ cinema group. The film was also screened in the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival’s ‘New Outlook’ and ‘Art and Experience’ sections and won Best Script Award in ‘New Outlook’ section and was nominated for Crystal Simorgh for Best Film in ‘Art and Experience’ section.
‘Risk of Acid Rain’ was also nominated for Best Film, Best Script, and Best Actor awards and actually won the Best Brilliant Talent Award (Best Debutante Film) in festival of Iranian Association of Film Critics. The film has been present in the 17th Mumbai Film Festival, 11th Zurich Film Festival, and Colombo Film Festival, winning the Jury Special Prize of the festival. The film also won Netpac Award in Australia. Mohammad Atebaei is manager of international screening of the film.
