What a fantastic Video! And very timely, too. I really enjoyed listening to you on the show with Rense, and you’ve solidly hit quite a number of nails on the head, including Russia’s exposure of the ‘empire’ having no clothes.

In fact, the velvet gloves have come off. The Russian fist picked up the hammer, and it looks like operations in Idlib to clean out al Qaeda/Nusra/HTS started a little early.

Operations have been in the planning, but HTS at the prodding of its US masters started their mischief and wham!

On the 20th, TASS reported:

MOSCOW, September 20./TASS/. Three members of the Russian Special Operations Forces suffered wounds while breaking the militant encirclement near the Syrian city of Idlib, Head of the Main Operations Department at Russia’s General Staff Colonel General Sergei Rudskoi said on Wednesday.

“Aircraft were delivering strikes on terrorists, the unit breaking the encirclement was supported by two Sukhoi Su-25 aircraft that attacked militants and their armored vehicles from extremely low altitudes.

“As a result, the encirclement was broken and the Russian troops entered the area occupied by the Syrian government forces. During the operation, three Special Operations Forces members suffered wounds,” he said.

According to Rudskoi, all the military servicemen who took part in the operation have been recommended for receiving state awards. “The steps that the Russian military command took together with the Syrian General Staff helped repel terrorists’ offensive and inflict significant damage on them,” the Russian general said.

“In the current extreme conditions, Commandeer of the Russian forces in Syria Colonel General Sergei Surovikin has formed a de-blocking group,” he said. “It brings together units of the special operations force and military police, equipped by troops, natives of the Northern Caucasus, and Syrian special forces.”

“During the past 24 hours, 187 facilities were hit by airstrikes and artillery fire, and about 850 terrorists were destroyed, as well as 11 tanks, four infantry fighting vehicles, 46 pickup trucks, five mortars, 20 lorries and 38 ammunition depots,” he said.

“Taking advantage of the fire damage, units of the 5th Assault Corps of the Syrian Armed Forces together with units of government troops and backed by Russian aircraft launched a counterattack and at the present time they have practically fully regained the lost positions. The operation to destroy terrorists will be continued,” the top military said.

Jabhat al-Nusra offensive

Gunmen of Jabhat al-Nusra (outlawed in Russia) have launched a large-scale offensive against Syrian troops in Idlib de-escalation zone, Rudskoi, said.

“Despite agreements signed in Astana on September 15, gunmen of Jabhat al-Nusra and joining them units that don’t want to comply with the cessation of hostilities terms, launched a large-scale offensive against positions of government troops north and northeast of Hama in Idlib de-escalation zone from 8 am on September 19,” the general said.

“According to available data, the offensive was initiated by American intelligence services to stop a successful advance of government troops east of Deir ez-Zor,” he added.

A platoon of Russian military police (29 men) was sealed off in the de-escalation zone Idlib and was beating back Jabhat al-Nusra attacks for several hours, he went on. He said Jabhat al-Nusra militants had mounted a large-scale offensive against Syrian troops in the de-escalation zone Idlib.

“One of the militants’ main aims was to try to seize a Russian military police unit, deployed at an observation post in the capacity of a monitoring contingent,” he said.

“As a result of the militants’ attack a platoon of military police (29 men) was sealed off and for several hours was beating back attacks by an outnumbering enemy force shoulder to shoulder with a unit of the Muali tribe, which had signed the ceasefire agreement and remained committed to it in this no easy situation,” Rudskoi said.

Of all the stupid moves that US stooges of HTS/al-Nusra/al-Qaeda could have made in Idlib which it now dominates, picking a fight with the Russian Military Police tops the list for Stupid Award of the Year. This all occurred with a few days of 35 local militant groups in the ceasefire zones expressing their readiness to side with the Syrian government forces.

These defections are going along all the time, as +BN has pointed out, during the course of amnesty and reconciliation once the truces have had time to sink in. In short, it’s the Syrian “opposition” actually separating themselves from al Nusra/Qaeda and ISIS terrorists that Russia requested time and again, the task that Obama and Kerry kept saying was impossible to do.

Russian Military Police are a new army unit, with first deployment to Syria in December of 2016 to east Aleppo.

Many of the Russian MPs serving in Syria are Chechens and Sunni/Sufi Muslims, although there are other Caucausian Muslims and Christians as well

The Chechens and many of the Caucasians are battle-hardened and very experienced some of the senior men having fought in the Chechen wars, are well-trained in urban combat tactics.

The MP platoons are being assigned all over Syria, and more to the de-escalation zones, and serve a six month deployment rotation I believe. I believe they directly answer to The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides which works together with the Syrian Centers for Amnesty and Reconciliation.

The MP’s are kind of the Swiss Army knife of the Russian Army. They’re primarily responsible for guarding Russian military bases and operations, guarding the temporary field hospitals and clinics and military medial staff and their patients.

They also guard the Russian combat engineers de-mining places, guard humanitarian relief truck convoys and the local distribution centers, and the caravans of buses filled with people released under cease-fire agreements from terrorist besieged cities.

They patrol for stay-behind ISIS and al-Qaeda terrorists, and assist the local civilian police and municipal authorities as needed, as well as helping out the people themselves with some of their problems.

The MPs are trained to assume policing functions in civilian areas, only to fight defensively. Most are Muslims so they understand the culture of very traditional Muslims and their clan and tribal societies.

The MP’s play an important role in Russia’s humanitarian relief programs and transitional life from war to peace, adding order to often still chaotic situations until the Syrian civilian authorities can assume normal local functions again.

Now, the Russian MPs were called on to perform as the cease-fire monitors in the four zones agreed finally agreed upon just within the past week or so.

They’ve earned the respect, love, and friendship of the local Syrian people, and generate a huge amount of goodwill for Russia, and for Chechnya, because so many of the terrorists in al Nusra and ISIS were Russian Chechen terrorists.

It looks like Russia and Syria are kicking off the cleanup of Idlib a little early. Deir Ezzor military airbase is now fully functioning for the SAA, which is flying combat air strike operations north, east and west of Deir Ezzor against ISIS.

Although there were 29 MPs along with an unknown number of fighters of the Bedouin Arab Muali tribe (about 5,000 altogether in Idlib) who held off the US-proxy HTS’ attack until the wrath of the Russian forces rained down on them, its not certain that 29 Chechens actually kicked America’s butt with this one, because the other guys are just as tough, but there’s a pretty good chance some of them were.

Many Chechens know from first-hand experience just what US-CIA meddling was going on in Chechnya back in the 1990s and early 2000s.

South Front: RUSSIA TO STRIKE IMMEDIATELY US-BACKED FORCES IF THEY TRY TO ATTACK GOVERNMENT FORCES NEAR DEIR EZZOR – RUSSIAN MOD

Russia has officially informed the United States via a special communications channel that Russian forces will strike immediately US-backed forces if they attack or shell Syrian or Russian task forces operating near Deir Ezzor city, Russia Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Thursday.

Konashenkov emphasized that “any attempts of shelling from the areas where the militants of the Syrian Democratic Forces are based will be immediately curbed.” Russian forces will supress “firing points in these areas” using “all means of destruction”.

The general added that 85% of Deir Ezzor city is liberated and Syrian forces will fully liberate it in the coming week.

Since early September, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have repeatedly claimed on an official level that the SDF would not allow Syrian governent forces to cross the Euphrates River and is ready to fight Russians and Syrians if it was needed.

However, it seems that making statements and attacking assault forces assisted by the Russians are two very different things.

Syrian government forces have already crossed the river and now are developing momentum against ISIS on its eastern bank.

Note General Konashenkov’s use of the word “militants” which more or less delegitimizes the fig leaf of the SDF somehow being legitimate forces under the authority of an illegal US military occupation in sovereign Syria.
