An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldier was killed in Afghanistan, the ISAF said in a statement.
“He died in an explosion in eastern Afghanistan,” the statement said without detailing the dead person’s nationality or the incident specific area.
It is the ISAF’s policy to defer casualty identification procedure to the relevant national authority.
