Twitter users uploaded graphic images of damaged homes, dead bodies and injured people trapped under rubble.
“We are very traumatized by this violence. I hear now ambulances mixed with sounds of warplanes & anti-aircraft shelling,” Muhammad Al-Assadi tweeted. Another Twitter user lamented that “The Saudi aggression is now attacking the capital Sanaa. There is no comparison. We attack their military bases and they bomb cities and civil targets.”
More than half of the 2,200 people killed since the beginning of the Saudi-led campaign were civilians. Nearly 10,000 have suffered injuries and more than one million have been internally displaced, according to the United Nations.
