198 AD-357s AD: Moses of Chorene in “History of Armenia,” refers to the invasion by the “Khazirs” (name similar to Khazars) of Armenia and Iberia: “The chaghan was the king of the North, the ruler of the Khazirs, and the queen was the chatoun”. The Chazars first came to Armenia with the Basileans in 198. Though at first repulsed, they subsequently became important factors in Armenian history for a period of 800 years. Driven onward by the nomadic tribes of the steppes and by their own desire for plunder and revenge, they made frequent invasions into Armenia. The latter country was made the battle-ground in the long struggle between the Romans and the Persians. This struggle, which finally resulted in the loss by Armenia of her independence, paved the way for the political importance of the Chazars.

363 AD-434 AD: The conquest of eastern Armenia by the Persians made the Persians dangerous to the Chazars, who, for their own protection, formed an alliance with the Byzantines. Khazars first helped the Byzantine emperor Julian, in 363. This alliance was renewed from time to time. By 434 AD the Khazars were providing support & resources to Attila and the Huns.

364 AD: According to the historian Moses Kalonkataci, the Chazars, under their leader Jebu Chaghan (called “Ziebel Chaghan” by the Greek writers), penetrated into Persian territory as early as the second campaign of Heraclius, on which occasion they devastated Albania (“Die Persischen Feldzüge des Kaisers Herakleios,” in “Byzantinische Zeitschrift,” iii. 364). Nicephorus testifies that Heraclius repeatedly showed marks of esteem to his ally, the chaghan of the Chazars, to whom he even promised his daughter in marriage. In the great battle between the Chazars and the Arabs near Kizliar 4,000 Mohammedan soldiers and their leader were slain.

370 AD: PRE-ATTILA HUNS — The Huns were a group of Eurasian nomads, appearing from east of the Volga, who migrated further into Western Europe and built up an enormous empire there. Their main military techniques were mounted archery and javelin throwing. They were in the process of developing settlements before their arrival in Western Europe, yet the Huns were a society of pastoral warriors whose primary form of nourishment was meat and milk, products of their herds. They likely spoke a Turkic language, but also spoke a central Asian language and the Huns may have been a combination of central Asian Turkic and Mongolic, and Ugric (Hungarian) peoples. The Huns were also the indirect source of many of the Romans’ problems, driving various Germanic tribes into Roman territory resulting in the eventual collapse of the Western Roman Empire. Despite this the Huns worked as hired mercenaries for the Romans. In fact, Attila may have spent part of his childhood in Rome.

376 AD-378 AD: The Huns annexed the territory of the Alans and then attacked the Gothic kingdom between the Carpathian mountains and the Danube. The Huns were a very mobile people, whose mounted archers had acquired a reputation of invincibility, and the Germanic tribes seemed unable to withstand them. Vast populations fled the Huns and moved from Germania into the Roman Empire in the west and south, and along the banks of the Rhine and Danube. The Goths crossed the Danube, initially submitting to the Romans but soon rebelling against Emperor Valens, whom they killed in the Battle of Adrianople in 378.

395 AD: SPLIT OF Roman Empire – The Roman Empire was split in half and was ruled by two distinct governments, one based in Ravenna in the West, and the other in Constantinople in the East. The Roman Emperors, both East and West, were generally from the Theodosian family despite several power struggles.

401 AD-450 AD: The Roman-Hun alliance last almost 50 years and permitted the Romans to rack up numerous military victories. The Huns considered the Romans to be paying them tribute, but the Romans preferred to call it payment for services rendered. The Huns had become a great power by the time that Attila was born and came of age during the reign of his uncle Ruga. The romans deplored the situation saying: “They (Huns) have become both masters and slaves of the Romans”.

406 AD: Large numbers of Vandals, Alans, Suebi, and Burgundians crossed the Rhine and invaded Roman Gaul to escape the Huns.

406 AD: Attila was born to a family from a noble lineage. He was short with a broad chest and large head and walked boldly to show the power of his proud spirit. He loved war, but used restraint and listened to counsel. He was gracious and lenient to those who were once received into his protection. His eyes were small and he had a flat nose and tanned skin. As he aged his beard became thin and sprinkled with grey. This description gives some evidence of his origin. Attila grew up in a rapidly changing world among nomads who had only recently crossed the Volga River and arrived in Europe.

406 AD: There is a question whether Attila was and Indo-European or was from a nomadic Central Asian people. Hungarians in particular believe Attila was Iranian and spoke their Indo-European language.

424 AD: Relations between the Roman Empire and Huns Empire was cordial with the Romans hiring the Huns as mercenaries against the Germans and even in their civil wars. Joannes (423 AD-425 AD) was emperor who illegally (Not a Roman Noble) ruled the Western Roman region for a couple of years and recruited thousands of Huns for his army against the legal (Noble) competitor, Valentinian III in 424.

425 AD: Around this date Attila the Hun (406 AD-453 AD) who was raised partially in Rome was believed to have visited the Vandal prince Genseric (400 AD-477 AD), who later became King of the Vandals and Alans (428 AD-477 AD) and was key to destroying the Roman Empire when the Vandals sacked Rome in 455 AD and he raised a Germanic tribe to the status of a major Mediterranean power. Back to Attila, who learned from living in Rome to dislike the Roman lifestyle. He considered his new life among the Scythians (Iranian peoples) better than his old life among the Romans, because after war the Scythians lived a relaxed life and enjoyed the fruits of war, and were rarely harassed. The Romans, on the other hand, were likely to perish in war because they had to depend on others for safety, and were not allowed to enjoy their rewards because Rome was run by tyrants who took all the bounty. Attila was well-trained in war and strategies by his father and other relatives. Attila’s father Mundzuk was the brother of kings Octar and Ruga, who reigned jointly over the Hunnic empire in the early 400s AD.

434 AD-453 AD: Reign of Attila the Hun (400 AD-453 AD) included his leading an empire consisting of Huns, Ostrogoths, and Alans in the territory of Central and Eastern Europe. During his almost 20 year reign, he was one of the most feared enemies of the Western and Eastern Roman Empires. He crossed the Danube twice and plundered the Balkans, but was unable to take Constantinople. Attila had an unsuccessful campaign in Persia, but followed that with a string of terrifyingly impressive victories that put the Eastern Roman Empire in fear and Western Roman Empire in decline.

434 AD: Attila and his brother Bleda, were in control of the united Hun tribes and were bargaining with Eastern Roman Emperor Theodosius II’s envoys for the return of several Hunnic nobles who disagreed with the brothers’ assumption of leadership. Later Attila and Bleda met with the Eastern Roman representatives all seated on horseback in the Hunnic manner, and negotiated an advantageous treaty. The Romans agreed to return the fugitives, to double in gold their previous PAYMENT for HUNS AS MERCENARIES and agreed to open their markets to Hunnish traders, and to pay a ransom for each Roman taken prisoner taken by the Huns. The Huns, satisfied with the treaty, decamped from the Roman Empire and returned to their home in the Great Hungarian Plain, perhaps to consolidate and strengthen their empire. Theodosius used this opportunity to strengthen the walls of Constantinople, building the city’s first sea wall, and to build up his border defenses along the Danube. The Huns remained out of Roman sight for the next few years while they invaded the Sassanid Empire.

440 AD-441 AD: After the Huns were defeated in Armenia by the Sassanids (Iranians), they abandoned their invasion, and turned their attentions back to Europe. In Europe they appeared in force on the borders of the Roman Empire, attacking the merchants at the market on the north bank of the Danube that had been established by the treaty. Crossing the Danube, they laid waste to the cities and forts on the river. While the Huns attacked city-states along the Danube, the Vandals (led by Geiseric) captured the Western Roman province and capital in Carthage. Carthage was the richest province of the Western Empire and a main source of food for Rome. The Sassanid (Iranian) Shah Yazdegerd II invaded Armenia in 441.

441 AD: Romans removed all their Balkan forces to strengthen Sicily and mount an expedition against the Vandals in Carthage and Africa. This left Attila and Bleda a clear path through Illyricum into the Balkans, which they invaded.

441 AD-451 AD: Attila had a successful invasion of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, the success of which emboldened Attila to invade the Western Empire and attempted to conquer Roman Gaul (modern France), crossing the Rhine in 451 and marching as far as Orléans before being defeated at the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains.

442 AD: Hunnish army sacked cities and towns, and then took Singidunum (Belgrade) and Sirmium (near Belgrade). Eastern Romans Emperor Theodosius had to recall his troops from Sicily and ordered a large issue of new coins to finance operations against the Huns. He believed that he could defeat the Huns.

443 AD: Attila responded with a campaign equipped with new military weapons as they advanced along the Danube, such as battering rams and rolling siege towers, and they overran the military centers of Ratiara and successfully besieged Naissus (city in Serbia). They advancing along the Nišava River, and took three more cities. Then they encountered and destroyed a Roman army outside Constantinople but were stopped by the double walls of the Eastern capital of Constantinople (Istanbul). The Huns then defeated a second army in Western Turkey. Theodosius, stripped of his armed forces, admitted defeat, sending a representative to negotiate peace terms. The terms were harsher than the previous treaty: the Emperor agreed to hand over 4400 pounds of gold as punishment for having disobeyed the terms of the treaty during the invasion; the yearly tribute was tripled in gold and the ransom for each prisoner captured for Emperor rose to dramatically. The Emperor met their demands for a time, and the Hun kings withdrew into the interior of their empire.

445 AD: It is also known that Attila accused his brother of living like a Roman and Attila threw him off the throne. Bleda died following the Huns’ withdrawal from Byzantium and Attila then took the throne for himself, becoming the sole ruler of the Huns.

452 AD-453 AD: Attila invaded Italy, devastating the northern provinces, but was unable to take Rome. He planned for further campaigns against the Romans but died in 453.

447 AD: Attila again took his army south into the Eastern Roman Empire and defeated the Roman army in the Battle of the Utus but suffered heavy losses. The Huns were left unopposed and rampaged through the Balkans as far as Thermopylae. But Constantinople itself was saved by the Isaurian troops, who were hired Mercenaries known as the contentious Isaurian tribe of fierce mountain marauders of south central Turkey, and also the Eastern Romans had done reconstruction of the walls that had been previously damaged by earthquakes and, in some places, to construct a new line of fortification in front of the old. An account of this invasion said the Huns had captured a hundred cities and Constantinople almost came into danger and most men fled from it. There were many murders and dead as they took captive the churches and monasteries and slew the monks and maidens in great numbers. Flavius Zeno (447 AD-451 AD) was an influential general and politician of the Eastern Roman Empire, of Isaurian origin, who served as magister militum. Definition of Magister militum formed in 300s AD is a Top-level military commander during reign of Constantine the Great and was created to deprived the praetorian prefects of their military functions of foot troops and more prestigious horse troops. In the East, there were two senior generals, who were each appointed to the office of magister militum. In the Western Roman Empire, a similar rank was a “commander-in-chief” which evolved into the power behind the throne.

450 AD: Atilla and the Huns invaded Gaul (France) and attacked the Visigoth kingdom of Toulouse by making an alliance with Emperor Valentinian III of the remains of the Western Roman Empire as Attila had been on good terms with the Western Roman Empire serving as Mercenaries for the Romans and the Roman General Aëtius had spent a brief exile among the Huns in 433 AD and he agreed to provide Attila with troops as they had a mutual enemy in the feared Visigoths. Valentinian’s sister had sent Attila the Hunnish king a plea for help to escape her forced betrothal to a Roman senator. Honoria may not have intended a proposal of marriage, but Attila chose to interpret her message as such. He accepted, asking for half of the western Empire as dowry. When Valentinian discovered the plan, only the influence of his mother convinced him to exile Honoria, rather than killing her. He also wrote to Attila, strenuously denying the legitimacy of the supposed marriage proposal. Attila sent an emissary to Ravenna to proclaim that Honoria was innocent, that the proposal had been legitimate, and that he would come to claim what was rightfully his. Attila gathered his vassals—Gepids, Ostrogoths, Rugians, Scirians, Heruls, Thuringians, Alans, Burgundians, among others–and began his march west. In 451, he arrived in Belgica with a large army and captured Metz but Paris was saved as were other cities including one where the bishop of Troyes met with Attila in person to save the city from sacking. Western Roman General Aëtius moved to oppose Attila, gathering troops from among the Franks, the Burgundians, and the Celts and the Visigoth king Theodoric I was frightened of the Huns and became an ally with the Romans. The combined Roman armies reached Orléans ahead of Attila, thus checking and turning back the Hunnish advance. Aëtius gave chase and caught the Huns and Attila decided to fight the Romans on plains where he could use his cavalry. The two armies clashed in the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains, the outcome of which is commonly considered to be a strategic victory for the Visigothic-Roman alliance. Theodoric was killed in the fighting, and Aëtius failed to press his advantage because he feared the consequences of an overwhelming Visigothic triumph as much as he did a defeat. For Roman General Aëtius’ the best outcome occurred as Theodoric died, Attila was in retreat and in disarray, and the Romans had the benefit of appearing victorious.

451 AD 452 AD: Italy suffered from a terrible famine and her crops were faring little better in 452. Attila’s devastating invasion of the plains of northern Italy hurt the harvest.

452 AD: Attila returned to Western Roman Region to renew his marriage claim with Honoria and invaded and ravaged Italy along the way, including Venice as residents fled to small islands in the Venetian Lagoon. His army sacked numerous cities. Aëtius lacked the strength to offer battle, but managed to harass and slow Attila’s advance with only a shadow force. Attila was finally halted at the River Po mainly as disease may have hurt Attila’s army’s capabilities and that stopped his invasion. Emperor Valentinian III sent negotiators and the Bishop of Rome Leo I, who met Attila at Mincio to get a promise that Attila would withdraw from Italy and negotiate peace with the Emperor. The famine in Italy hurt Attila’s army also and to advance on Rome would have required supplies which were not available in Italy, and taking the city would not have improved Attila’s supply situation. Therefore, it was more profitable for Attila to conclude peace and retreat back to his homeland. There was also a report that superstitious fear of the fate of Alaric I (395 AD-410 AD), First King of Visigoths, who died after he had sacked Rome in 410 AD which started the decline of the Western Roman Empire. Attila wanted to avoid the fate of Aleric I, but Attila died the next year in 453 AD. Attila also knew an East Roman force had crossed the Danube under the command of another officer who had participated and defeated the Huns who had been left behind by Attila to safeguard their home territories. Attila, hence, faced heavy human and natural pressures to retire “from Italy without ever setting foot south of the Po”. Romans romanced saying the Huns were victims of divine punishment, being visited with heaven-sent disasters of famine and disease and the even lied that the Huns were slaughtered by auxiliaries sent by the Emperor Marcian and led by Aetius. Thus crushed, they made peace with the Romans and all retired to their homes.

453 AD: Marcian was the successor of Theodosius, refused to pay gold tribute to the Huns starting in 450 AD. Multiple invasions by the Huns and others had left the Balkans with little to plunder. After Attila left Italy and returned to his palace across the Danube, he planned to strike at Constantinople again and reclaim the tribute which Marcian had stopped. However, he died in the early months of 453 AD by hemorrhage from disease and heavy drinking during his latest marriage celebration and another account said he was killed by blade from one of his wives. Still a newer account is that Emperor Marcian (450 AD-457 AD) was the political force behind Attila’s death, they found Attila dead with an effusion of blood, without any wound, and the girl with downcast face weeping beneath her veil. His body was placed in the midst of a plain and lay in state in a silken tent as a sight for men’s admiration. The best horsemen of the entire tribe of the Huns rode around in circles, after the manner of circus games, in the place to which he had been brought and told of his deeds in a funeral dirge saying, “he fell, not by wound of the foe, nor by treachery of friends, but in the midst of his nation at peace, happy in his joy and without sense of pain. Who can rate this as death, when none believes it calls for vengeance?” Then in the secrecy of night they buried his body in the earth. They bound his coffins, the first with gold, the second with silver and the third with the strength of iron, showing by such means that these three things suited the mightiest of kings. With such great riches be kept secret, they then slew those who prepared the grave.

454 AD: Attila’s sons Ellac, Dengizich and Ernak, “in their rash eagerness to rule they all alike destroyed his empire”. They “were clamoring that the nations should be divided among them equally and that warlike kings with their peoples should be apportioned to them by lot like a family estate”. The sons ignorantly treated Germanic friends of Attila, the tribe Gepids (of the Goths) led by their ruler Ardaric as “slaves of the basest condition” and the Gepids revolted and fought with the Huns in Pannonia in the Battle of Nedao 454 AD. Attila’s eldest son Ellac was killed in that battle. Attila’s ignorant sons “regarding the Goths as deserters from their rule” and attacked, but were repelled, and some groups of Huns moved to Scythia (today’s Iran and perhaps to area that became Khazaria).

468 AD: Attila’s son Dengizich attempted a renewed invasion across the Danube, but was defeated at the Battle of Bassianae by the Ostrogoths. Dengizich was killed by Roman-Gothic general Anagast the following year, after which the Hunnic dominion ended. The Huns were traced credibly by a manuscript titled, “Nominalia of the Bulgarian khans,” a short Slavonic manuscript containing the names of some early Bulgar rulers, their clans, the year of their ascending to the throne. The central Asian term KHAN or Knyaz is used in a translation from two stone inscriptions, which were composed in Greek and Bulgar languages, during the 7-8 century and says the Kingdoms on the east of the Danube lasted for hundred of years. They likely were using a system similar to the Chinese calendar which was also used by many Turkic peoples including the Mongols and likely the Khazars. The Bulgar language was a Turkic language like that of the Khazars but also the Turkic languages borrowed from the Bulgar language. It seems very clear that the Huns never disappeared but instead made major contributions to the Slavic and Turkic languages and cultures that evolved and still exist today. The Mongols have a lot in common with the Huns in both fighting and culture. But the Khazars began evolving around the time the Huns dispersed and likely have their roots with the Huns and the Mongols, as well as, mingling with other Euro-Asian peoples in the region from the Danube River to the Caspian Sea including Iran and parts of Russia.

488 AD-579 AD: The Persian king Kobad (488 AD-531 AD) constructed of a line of forts through the pass between Derbent and the Caucasus, in order to guard against the invasion of the Chazars, Turks, and other warlike tribes. His son Chosroes Anoshirvan (531 AD-579 AD) built the wall of Derbent, repeatedly mentioned by the Oriental geographers and historians as Bab al-Abwab.

500s AD-627 AD: The Chazars moved westward to the territory bounded by the Sea of Azov, the Don and the lower Volga, the Caspian Sea, and the northern Caucasus. The Caucasian Goths (Tetraxites) were subjugated by the Chazars, around the 626 AD-627 AD (Löwe, “Die Reste der Germanen am Schwarzen Meere”). Early in that century the kingdom of the Chazars had become powerful enough to enable the chaghan to send to the Byzantine emperor Heraclius an army of 40,000 men, by whose aid he conquered the Persians (626 AD-627 AD). The Chazars had already occupied the northeastern part of the Black Sea region.

500 AD-1000 AD: Ashkenazi merchants operated in trade between the Christian and Islamic worlds during the early Middle Ages using trade routes previously established under the Roman Empire and some went directly through Khazaria. These merchants trade network served much of Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and parts of India and China.

500s AD-740 AD: THE KHAZARS = Language of Hunnish & Turkish origin (Oghur or Oğuric) similar to that spoken by the early Bulgars. It is likely that the Khazar nation was made up of tribes from various ethnic backgrounds, as steppe nations traditionally absorbed those they conquered. Priscus relates that one of the nations in the Hunnish confederacy was called Akatziroi (note similarity between Akatziroi and “Ak-Khazar” and were early proto-Khazars) and their king was named Karadach or Karidachus. The Akatziri or Akatzirs was a tribe that lived north of the Black Sea, west of Crimea. May have also been related to those in year 500 who came from Transoxiana, a portion of Central Asia corresponding approximately with modern-day Uzbekistan.

500s AD-740 AD: THE KHAZARS = Tribal structure was possibly divided between Ak-Khazars (“White Khazars” with relish hair) and Kara-Khazars (“Black Khazars” were almost deep dark like they came from India) and a conglomerate of Asian and common Turkic peoples including the Huns. Many Turkic nations had similar division between a “white” ruling warrior caste and other classes. Their trade & influence may have extended to the Pacific Ocean on the East and Eastern Europe on the West, as some tribes like Huns and Mongolians were strongly nomadic.

552 AD: THE KHAZARS = Likely originated from the gigantic Gokturk empire western half was overthrown = Split into a number of tribal confederations, among whom were the Bulgars.

580s AD-641 AD: The Editors of Encyclopædia Britannica begins, “Khazar, member of a confederation of Turkic-speaking tribes that in the late 6th century CE established a major commercial empire covering the southeastern section of modern European Russia. Although the origin of the term Khazar and the early history of the Khazar people are obscure, it is fairly certain that the Khazars were originally located in the northern Caucasus region and were part of the western Turkic empire (in Turkistan). The Khazars were in contact with the Persians in the mid-6th century CE, and they aided the Byzantine emperor Heraclius (reigned 610–641) in his campaign against the Persians.”

584 AD-590 AD: Khazar King Joseph’s account generally agreed with the evidence given by Arabic writers of the tenth century. The details from Ibn Faḍlan, Ibn Dastah, and others, says only the king and the grandees were followers of Judaism. The rest of the Chazars were Christians, Mohammedaus, and pagans; and the Jews were part of a large minority. This was verified by Mas’udi, who said only the king and the elitist Chazars adopted Judaism, but the army kept their previous religions and the locals remained Slovak or Rus with a pagan religion.

600s AD-700s AD: THE KHAZARS Religion = Originally was Turkic shamanism (belief in an unseen world of gods) = Focused on the sky god Tengri, but were heavily influenced by Confucian ideas (transcendent ideals of traditional Chinese society) and the Mandate of Heaven and the Japanese CONCEPT OF A CHOSEN PEOPLE! So the Khazarian Kaghan (KING) chose to be the sky-god. Any kaghan who failed had clearly lost the god’s favor and was typically ritually executed. Perhaps this caused the Kaghan to choose Judaism over far too frequent execution. The primitive Khazar also worshipped a number of other deities including the fertility goddess Umay, Kuara, a thunder-god, Erlik, the god of death, and a phallic god much like the worship of Satan.

600s AD: The Khazars = Crimean Tatars = Of Turk origins who migrated out of Asia & East including The Huns and The Mongolians with NO LINKS to Semites surrounding the wide area around and including Palestine = A semi-nomadic Turkic people from Central Asia = Name ‘Khazar’ tied to a Turkic verb meaning “wandering” = They founded an independent Khaganate (a political entity ruled by a Khan or Khaganin) in the Northern Caucasus along the Caspian Sea = At their height of power, they controlled much of what is today southern Russia, western Kazakhstan, eastern Ukraine, large portions of the Caucasus (including Dagestan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia), and the Crimea. = The Khazars never inhabited the land surrounding and including where Palestine is today.

626 AD-834 AD: All the other dwellings of the then populous city were insignificant mud huts or felt tents. The position of the chaghan of the Chazars was evidently similar to that of the former mikados of Japan, while the bek, his military coregent, corresponded to the shoguns of the latter. Emperor Heraclius in 626 AD concluded a treaty with the chaghan of the Chazars, and Constantine Copronymus, in his description of the embassy of the Chazars (834 AD), states that it was sent by the “ċhaghan and the pech.” Ibn Faḃlan relates that the king of the Chazars was called the “great chaghan,” and his deputy “chaghan-bhoa” (“bey,” “beg,” or “bek”). The bek led the army, administered the affairs of the country, and appeared among the people; and to him the neighboring kings paid allegiance. It will thus be seen that the extent of the powers of the bek varied with the times. When the chaghan wanted to punish any one, he said, “Go and commit suicide”—a method resembling the Japanese custom of hara-kiri. The city and its environs were heavily shaded by trees. The Turkish languages predominated. The King’s entourage of numbering 4,000 men, consisted of the White Chazars, renowned for their beauty, the Demidov of the Crimea, the Tatars, intermixed with the Chazars and Kumans, the Black Chazars (dark as the Hindus), Turkic peoples, Slavonians, Bulgars, and various Caucasian tribes.

650 AD-800s AD: the Khazar fought a series of wars against the second of the four major Arab caliphates established after the death of Muhammad — First war was 650 and defeated an Arab force in Khazarian territory. Further conflicts erupted in the decades that followed, with Arab attacks and Khazar raids into Kurdistan and Iran.

669 AD: The Ugrians or Zabirs freed themselves from the rule of the Obrians, settled between the Don and the Caucasus, and came under the dominion of the Chazars. For this reason the Ugrians, who had hitherto been called the” White” or “Independent” Ugrians, are described in the chronicles ascribed to Nestor as the “Black,” or “Dependent,” Ugrians. They were no longer governed by their own princes, but were ruled by the kings of the Chazars.

670 AD: Khazars broke from the Bulgar confederation, causing various tribal groups to migrate and form Volga Bulgaria, and the Bulgarian khanate on the Danube River. Khazars first significant appearance in history is their aid to the campaign of the Byzantine emperor Heraclius against the Sassanid Persians. The Khazar ruler Ziebel (Khagan of the West Turks) aided the Byzantines in overrunning Georgia.

670 AD-950 AD: KHAZARS Conversion to Judaism = Likely to save the King’s life they chose conversion and since Ashkenazi communities had settled around the Greek cities of the Black Sea coast including Crimean cities with some said to have had a Ashkenazi majority as early as the 670s — They chose what was known and handy, Judaism. Ashkenazis had been driven out of the Byzantine Empire and since they were traveling merchants they regularly had traded in Khazar territory, and developed significant economic and political influence. So the Kaghan choice was relatively easy and saved his life from beheading. The formal conversion of larger groups to Judaism took place in last decades of the 8th century or the early 9th century. Most scholars believe that only the upper classes converted to Judaism but burial practices seemed to have changed in mid 800s to follow Judaism rules and grave goods disappeared. Perhaps by 950 Judaism became more widespread. The Khazar empire was between growing populations of Muslims to the east and Christians to the west and both recognized Judaism with some respect. Khazars were called “bastards” by Karaite Jews in writings so the Khazars avoided adopting Karaite Ashkenazi beliefs.

679 AD-735 AD: When the Arab leader Mervan moved from Georgia against the Chazars, he attacked the Ugrians also. In 679 the Chazars subjugated the Bulgars and extended their sway farther west between the Don and the Dnieper, as faras the head-waters of the Donetz in the province of Lebedia (K. Grot, “Moravia i Madyary,” St. Petersburg, 1881; J. Danilevski and K. Grot, “O Puti Madyars Urala v Lebediyu,” in “Izvyestiya Imperatorskavo Russkavo Georaficheskavo Obshchestva,” xix.). It was probably about that time that the chaghan of the Chazars and his grandees, together with a large number of his pagan people, embraced the Jewish religion. According to A. Harkavy (“Meassef Niddaḥim,” i.), the conversion took place in 620; according to others, in 740.

680s AD-700s AD: THE KHAZARS ruled over Crimea in late 600s and put down a mid 700s rebellion by Crimean Goths but the Crimea was part of the Byzantine Empire. The Khazars were allied with the Byzantine Empire during at least part of the 700s. The Byzantine emperor Leo III married his son Constantine to the Khazar princess Tzitzak (daughter of the Khagan Bihar) as part of the alliance between the two empires. The Khazars = Important allies of the Byzantine Empire against the Sassanid empire, and were a major regional power at their height. They fought a series of successful wars against the Arab Caliphates, probably preventing an Arab invasion of Eastern Europe. By the end of the tenth century, their power was broken by the Kievan Rus (a loose federation of East Slavic tribes in Europe), and the Khazars largely disappeared from history via migration and integration.

700s AD-800s AD: THE KHAZARS Economy & Trade = Occupied a prime trade nexus between Europe & Central Asia to China. The route of Ashkenazi Radhanites medieval traders ran through Khazaria, and may have been instrumental in the Khazars’ conversion to Judaism. No Khazar paid taxes to the central government and all Revenue came from a 10% levy on goods transiting through the region. The Khazars may have exported honey, furs, wool, millet and other cereals, fish, and slaves, but some assert that the Khazars produced almost no material goods themselves, living solely off of trade, but may have produced some pottery and glass.

702 AD-888 AD: Khazars were loved by Byzantium, at least for a while. At the Byzantine court the chaghan was held in high esteem. In diplomatic correspondence with him the seal of three solidi was used, which marked him as a potentate of the first rank, above even the pope and the Carlovingian monarchs. Emperor Justinian II., after his flight from Kherson to Doros, took refuge during his exile with the chagham, and married the chaghan’s daughter Irene, who was famous for her beauty. Emperor Leo IV., “the Chazar” (775 AD-780 AD), the son of Constantine, was thus a grandson of the king of the Chazars. Chazarian troops were among the body-guard of the Byzantine imperial court; and they fought for Leo VI. against Simeon of Bulgaria in 888 AD.

710s AD-758 AD: THE KHAZARS — Second Khazar-Arab war broke out again with the Caliphate in the 710s, with raids back and forth across the Caucasus but few decisive battles covering Iran and Mosul and included khazar beheading of enemies. Arab armies poured across the Caucasus and eventually (in 737) defeated a Khazar army and possibly forcing the Khagan to convert to Islam. The Arab armies eventually withdrew and Khazar independence was re-asserted and it is then possible the Khazar rulers adopted Judaism around 740 to re-assert independence. Arabs reported in 739 that the ruler of the Khazars was a woman who appears to have directed military operations against them. For some time after these wars, the Khazars were forced to withdraw behind the Caucasus and instead extended their territories from the Caspian Sea or “Khazar Sea” to the steppe region north of Black Sea in the west to Dnieper River (of Ukraine). In 758, the military governor of Armenia took a royal Khazar bride to make peace but the girl died inexplicably, possibly in childbirth but her attendants who returned home were convinced that some Arab faction had poisoned her. Her father was enraged and ordered a Khazar general to invade northwestern Iran and plunder it for months. Thereafter relations between the Khazars and Arabs became increasingly cordial.

723 AD-880s AD: The kingdom of the Chazars, was surrounded by wild, nomadic peoples, and they themselves were nomadic half the year. In this time of ignorance and chaos the Chazars created an empire of laws that prospered and traded and also offered tolerance for varying religions including jews & pagans and had a well-disciplined standing army. Among the various routes enumerated by the Arabic geographer Ibn Khurdadhbah (860-880) as being used by the multi-lingual Ashkenazi merchants on trans-Eurasian trade network that served Spain & France, through the land of the Slavonians, passing through Atel, the capital of the Chazars onto crossed the Sea of the Chazars (Caspian Sea) and then, via Balkh, Transoxania, and the land of the Tagasga, to India and China. There is no doubt that the Caucasian, other Asians & Turkic peoples carried on trade with the Chazars along trade routes through their kingdom long before sephardic Jewish fugitives from Greece & Spanish escaped in 723 AD from the Christian conversions by the zealous Byzantine emperor Leo the Isaurian. 740 AD: Khazars Royalty of the Khazarian Empire chose to hide under Judaism.

758 AD: THE KHAZARS Army was Led by the Khagan Bek and commanded by subordinate officers known as tarkhans. A famous tarkhan led an invasion of Armenia and included regiments of Muslim auxiliaries who were quite influential and were exempt from campaigning against their fellow Muslims. The Bek could call upon tribal levies in times of danger and were often joined by auxiliaries from subject nations.

790s AD: The Crimean Goths rebelled against the sovereignty of the Chazars and the Chazars took over the Gothic capital, Doros and the Goths submitted to the rule of the Chazars.

800 AD: THE KHAZARS Influence = Heartland was on the lower Volga and the Caspian coast and from 600 supposedly controlled most of the Crimea. By 800 Khazar holdings included most of the Pontic steppe as far west as the Dneiper and as far east as the Aral Sea (some Turkic history atlases show the Khazar sphere of influence extending well east of the Aral). Towns of the Khazars were along the Caspian coast and Volga delta and Khazar settlements existed on the Dnieper River including what may now be the city of Kiev. (SOROS & ROTHSCHILDS wanted UKRAINE FOR SOME REASON) and with Ashkenazi Traders traveling to China they had influence with the drug and silk trade.

837 AD-838 AD: THE KHAZARS Coinage = Minted silver coins, perhaps copies of Arab Caliphate dirhems Coins that were in widespread use due to their reliable silver content. Merchants from China and Scandinavia accepted them regardless of their inability to read the Arab writing, so issuing imitation dirhems ensured acceptance of Khazar coinage in foreign lands. A Viking treasure found in 1999 had many silver coins and a few dated 837/8 had Arabic script saying, “Moses is the Prophet of God” (instead of “Muhammad is the Prophet of God”) — likely forged since they did not convert to Judaism until 50 years later, but perhaps King Bulan made a special commemorative coin celebrating his conversion to Judaism. All such scenarios seem a big stretch.

855 AD: KHAZARS TO ASHKENAZIS — Khazars are of Turkish origin and the kingdom of the Chazars was firmly established in most of South Russia long before the foundation of the Russian monarchy by the Varangians. Khazars lived on the shores of the Black and Caspian seas, in the Ural region, since the early centuries of the common era. Writers of the Middle Ages used the names of “Chozars,” “Khazirs,” “Akatzirs,” and “Akatirs,” and in the Russian chronicles as “Khwalisses” and “Ugry Byelyye.”

904 AD: Khazar King Joseph in his letter to Ḥasdai gives the following account of his kingdom: Chazarian Taxes applied to the following subjugated peoples: Burtas, Bulgar, Suvar, Arissu, Tzarmis, Ventit, Syever, and Slaviyun halping create a wealthy Kingdom. All the inhabitants of the seacoast that live within a month’s distance pay tribute to the Chazars. Even nomadic tribes extending to the frontier of the Gagries (India) all paid tribute to the Chazars.

921 AD: The Khazar chaghans protected their coreligionists, the Jews and when the Mohammedans destroyed a synagogue in the land of Babung he gave orders that the minaret of the mosque in his capital should be broken off, and the muezzin executed. In 889 AD the conquest of Hungary by the Magyars the Chazars rendered considerable assistance.

940s AD-969 AD: THE KHAZARS Decline and Fall = The empire began to decline due to the attacks of both Vikings from Kievan Rus and various Turkic tribes and from internal rebellions by any tribes. The rebel tribes may have joined with the Magyars (“Hungarian”) possibly against the imposition of Judaism. And after some years of constant battles the Khazars lost control over the steppes north of the Black Sea. They were soon diplomatically isolation and under constant military threats from Svyatoslav (called destroyer of the Khazar Khaganate) and those he led inhabiting present day Ukraine around 950. Also, the alliance with the Byzantines began to collapse in the early 900s, with conversion to Judaism and Byzantine and Khazar forces may have clashed in the Crimea around 940s. The Byzantines during that time shifted their alliances to the with the Persians and Russians of more recent times. The Khazars found themselves fighting on multiple fronts as nomadic incursions were exacerbated by uprisings by former clients and invasions from former allies who became strong enemies. The Khazars actions against the Norse and Rus factions blocking trade routes along the Volga and that sparked a war. Supposedly in the early 960s, Khazar ruler Joseph supposedly wrote about the deterioration in relations with the Rus: “I have to wage war with them, for if I would give them any chance at all they would lay waste the whole land of the Muslims as far as Baghdad.” The Rus warlords Oleg of Novgorod and Sviatoslav I of Kiev launched several wars against the Khazar khaganate, often with Byzantine help. Sviatoslav succeeded in destroying Khazar imperial power in the 960s and the Khazar fortresses of Sarkel and Tamatarkha fell to the Rus in 965 as did the capital city of Atil in 967 or 969. A visitor to Atil wrote soon after the sacking of the city: “The Rus attacked, and no grape or raisin remained, not a leaf on a branch.” THE KHAZAR EMPIRE WAS GONE AND REMAINING KHAZARS FLED WEST into Europe.

944 AD: The Russians invaded the trans-Caucasian in 944.

950 AD-960 AD: THE KHAZARS Government of Kingship = Divided between the khagan (King has many wives and was a figurehead like Queen Elizabeth) and the Bek or Khagan Bek who was responsible for administration and military affairs. The Khagan’s palace was on an island in the Volga River and he had 25 wives, each the daughter of a client ruler. Perhaps by 950-960 the Khazars had merged the two positions into a single ruler. Settlements were governed by administrative officials appointed by the Bek for a town. THE KHAZARS Judiciary = Court consisted of two Jews, two Christians, two Muslims, and a “heathen” (Turkic shaman or a pagan priest) = Ashkenazi researchers claim they had three Ashkenazi judges and the others had one at most if any.

960 AD: Khazar King Joseph, in his 960 AD letter to Ḥasdai ibn Shaprut, mentions that two Spanish Jews had succeeded in settling in the land of the Chazars, and a German (probably an early Ashkeanazi, Isaac ben Eliezer carried the letter to Ḥasdai for the king. This letter gives the following account of the conversion: “King Bulan reigned over the Chazars. To him God appeared in a dream and promised him might and glory. Encouraged by this dream, Bulan went by the road of Darlan to the country of Ardebil, where he gained great victories [over the Arabs]. The Byzantine emperor and the calif of the Ishmaelites sent to him envoys with presents, and sages to convert him to their respective religions. Bulan invited also wise men of Israel, and proceeded to examine them all. As each of the champions believed his religion to be the best, Bulan separately questioned the Mohammedans and the Christians as to which of the other two religions they considered the better. When both gave preference to that of the Jews, that king perceived that it must be the true religion. He therefore adopted it”.

960 AD: Ḥasdai ibn Shaprut, who was foreign minister to ‘Abd al-Raḥman, Sultan of Cordova, in his letter to King Joseph of the Chazars, relates that the first information about that kingdom was communicated to him by envoys from Khorassan (Afghanistan and surrounding region), and that their statements were corroborated by the ambassadors from Byzantium. The latter told him that the powerful Chazars were maintaining amicable relations with the Byzantine empire, with which they carried on by sea a trade in fish, skins, and other wares, the voyage from Constantinople occupying fifteen days. Ḥasdai determined to avail himself of the services of the Byzantine embassy to transmit his letter to the king of the Chazars, and with that view he despatched Isaac ben Nathan with valuable gifts to the emperor, requesting him to aid Isaac in his journey to Chazaria. But the Greeks interposed delays, and finally sent Isaac back to Cordova. Other jews offered to send the letter via “Hungarin” (Hungary) to “Russ” (Russia) through “Bulgar” (Bulgarians on the Kuban) to its Khazar destination (Atel, the capital of Chazaria) and expressed his thankfulness that God in His mercy had not deprived the Jews of a deliverer. The letter from Ḥasdai begs the king to communicate to him a detailed account of the geography of his country, of its internal constitution, of the customs and occupations of its inhabitants, and especially of the history of his ancestry and of the state and Ḥasdai speaks of Chazars tradition of living in the Mountains and mansions the city of Kiev. A complete account of the correspondence between. Ḥasdai and King Joseph has been written by A. Harkavy, one of the leading authorities on the history of the Chazars published in the work” Ḳol-Mebasser” of Isaac Aḳrish (Constantinople, 1577 AD) to prove that even after the destruction of Jerusalem the Jews still had their own country. One of the greatest scholars of the 1600s AD, Samuel Bochart, introduces the account of Joseph ben Gorion (Yosippon), and in his notes to the “Yuḥasin” of Zacuto gives information about the Chazarian kingdom and the Sea of the Chazars obtained from the “Geographia Nubiensis” of the Arabian writer Idrisi.

960 AD: The Capital of Chazaria was Atel (or Itil), was situated about eight miles from the modern Astrakhan, on the right bank of the lower Volga River, and “Atel” also means river. The western part of the city was surrounded by a wall pierced by four gates, of which one led to the river, and the others to the steppes. Here was situated the king’s palace, which was the only brick building in the city. According to Mas’udi, the city was divided into three parts, the palace of the chaghan standing on an island. The king had twenty-five wives, all of royal blood, and sixty concubines, all famous beauties. Each one dwelt in a separate tent and was watched by a eunuch. The authority of the chaghan was so absolute that during his absence from the capital, even his viceroy, or coregent (called “isha,” or “bek,” or “pech”), was powerless. The viceroy had to enter the chaghan’s apartments barefooted and with the greatest reverence. He held in his right hand a chip of wood, which he lit when he saluted the chaghan, whereupon he took his seat to the right of the latter, on the throne, which was of gold. The walls of the palace were also gilded, and a golden gate ornamented the palace. The Khazars ate Caspian Sea sturgeon and other fish, sheep, grains, honey and grown produce. They hunted valuable furs to export to Africa, Spain, and France. The estates and vineyards of the chaghan were on the island on which his palace was situated. Another city of the Chazars, Semender, between Atel and Bab al-Abwab, was surrounded by 40,000 grape vines.

965 AD: The Russian Varangians had firmly established themselves at Kiev and the powerful Chazars had become dangerous to the Byzantine empire, and Constantine Porphyrogenitus, in his instructions on government written for his son, carefully enumerates the Alans, the Petehenegs, the Uzes, and the Bulgarians as the forces on which he must rely to check the influence of the Chazars.

970 AD: Five years after the correspondence between the king of the Chazars and Ḥasdai ibn Shaprut in 965 AD, the Russian prince Swyatoslaw made war upon the Chazars, apparently for the possession of Taurida (Crimean Peninsula) and Taman (Peninsula leading to Crimea) to give Russians access to the Black Sea and beyond. After a hard fight the Russians conquered the Chazars and end Khazar rule and was final Fall of the Chazars.

1000 AD: THE KHAZARS = Khazar Mercenaries had spread into (its homelands) around modern Turkey doing deeds for the Caliphate and other Islamic states and the Khazar community mingled with the Jews of the suburb of modern-day Beyoğlu, Turkey. A map of the flow of Khazars show most flowed into Western Europe as far as Spain. Khazar rabbinical students descended from the Khazars, were found in 12th century Spain and Khazar converts were found in France, Germany, England and Eastern Europe.

1016 AD: Russians conquered all the Chazarian territory east of the Sea of Azov. Only the Crimean territory of the Chazars remained in their possession until 1016 AD, when they were dispossessed by a joint expedition of Russians and Byzantines. The last of the chaghans, George Tzula, was taken prisoner; some of the Chazars took refuge in an island of the Caspian, Siahcouye; others retired to the Caucasus region. Many were sent as prisoners of war to Kiev, where a Chazar community had long existed. Many intermingled in the Crimea with the local Jews. Some went to Hungary, but the great mass of the people remained in their native country. Many members of the Chazarian royal family emigrated to Spain.

1162 AD-1634 AD: Mongolian Empire — Timeline of the Mongol Empire from birth of Temüjin, later Genghis Khan, to the end of the Yuan dynasty in 1368, though the title of Khagan continued to be used by the rulers of the Northern Yuan dynasty, a far less powerful successor entity, until 1634.

1200 AD-TODAY: THE KHAZARS = Ashkenazim is built on Khazars and DNA proves it. DNA now proves modern Ashkenazi Converts are of Khazarian ancestry rather than Jewish Semites. 1200s AD: The Krymchaks are Khazar descendants mostly in Crimea and of Turkic origins with sub-groups called Subbotniks, a common name for a Russian sects of Judaizers of Christian origin. Until the thirteenth century Crimea was known to European travelers as “Gazaria,” the Italian form of “Chazaria.” In 1912 AD there were three main groups of people described as Subbotniks: #1 Judaizing Talmudists #2 Karaites #3 Molokans. A 1912 religious census in Russia recorded 12,305 “Judaizing Talmudists”, and 4,092 “Russian Karaites”, and 8,412 Subbotniks who “had fallen away from Orthodoxy”. Krymchak was a Russian descriptive used to differentiate them from Ashkenazis, but in the second half of the 19th century this name was adopted by the Krymchaks themselves. Kumyks are descended from the Chazars.

1206 AD: Genghis Khan unites the Mongols and begins to build a huge empire. Khazaria was finally wiped out by the forces of Genghis Khan, but evidence indicates that the Khazars themselves migrated to Poland and formed the cradle of Western Ashkenazis… THE SO-CALLED THIRTEENTH TRIBE.

1776: Adam Weishaupt officially completes his organization of the Illuminati on May 1 of this year. 1784 AD-1786 AD: Adam Weishaupt issues his order for the French Revolution to be started by Maximilien Robespierre in book form. This book was written by one of Weishaupt’s associates, Xavier Zwack, and sent by courier from Frankfurt to Paris. However en route there, the courier is struck by lightning, the book detailing this plan discovered by the police, and handed over to the Bavarian authorities. President Jackson knows what they are up to and later states, “You are a den of thieves vipers, and I intend to rout you out, and by the Eternal God, I will rout you out.” In 1835 AD an assassin tries to shoot President Jackson, but miraculously both of the assassin’s pistols misfired. 1834 AD: The Rothschilds acquire the rights to quicksilver mines in Spain, a vital component in the refining of gold or silver this gave the Rothschilds a virtual world monopoly.

1840 AD: The Rothschilds become the Bank of England’s bullion brokers. They set up agencies in California and Australia.

1841 AD: President John Tyler (1841 AD-1845 AD) vetoed the act to renew the charter for the Bank of the United States. He goes on to receive hundreds of letters threatening him with assassination.

The idea was that those who direct the overall conspiracy could use the differences in those two so-called ideologies to enable them to divide larger and larger factions of the human race into opposing camps so that they could be armed and then brainwashed into fighting and destroying each other, and particularly, to destroy all political and religious institutions. 1850 AD: Construction begins this decade on the manor houses of Mentmore in England and Ferrières in France, more Rothschilds Manors will follow throughout the world, all of them filled with works of art. He states of this, “We gave the people of this republic the greatest blessing they ever had, their own paper money to pay their own debts.” THIS WAS A MASSIVE THREAT TO THE ROTHSCHILDS CRIME MOB and the The Times of London COMPLAINS about it writing, “If that mischievous financial policy, which had its origin in the North American Republic, should become indurated down to a fixture, then that government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off debts and be without a debt. It will have all the money necessary to carry on its commerce. It will become prosperous beyond precedent in the history of civilized governments of the world. The brains and the wealth of all countries will go to North America. That government must be destroyed or it will destroy every monarchy on the globe.”

1862 AD-1934 AD: Rothschilds Origins — Emmanuel Carasso or Emanuel Karasu, Turkic name meaning “BLACK WATER” & was a member of the prominent Sephardic Jewish Carasso family in Thessaloniki (Salonica, Greece). He was a lawyer and a prominent member of Young Turks. He was a member, possibly founder, and later president of the Macedonian Risorta Masonic lodge in Thessaloniki and pioneered the masonic movement within the Ottoman Empire. When the CUP came to power, Karasu became the Thessaloniki deputy in the Ottoman parliament. Supposedly, he was offered various positions in the Ottoman government, but turned them down. 1909 an insurrection of conservatives & soldiers in the capital overthrew the new Young Turks’ cabinet. Following that the government was restored by Ashkenazi-Turk soldiers from Thessaloniki (Salonica), but the Young Turks with Karasu decided to remove the sultan and replace him with his brother Reshad as Sultan Mehmed V. He worked for the cooperation of various Ashkenazi organizations in Turkey, and insisted that Turkish Jews were Turks first and Jews second. He lost favor under Atatürk and went into exile in Italy and died there in 1934.

1865 AD: In a statement to Congress, President Abraham Lincoln states, “I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me, and the financial institutions in the rear. Of the two, the one in my rear is my greatest foe.” Later that year, President Lincoln is assassinated, less than two months before the end of the American Civil War.

1876 AD: Otto von Bismarck states, “The division of the United States into two federations of equal force was decided long before the civil war by the high financial power of Europe. 1978: Ashkenazi, Stephen Bryen, then a Senate Foreign Relations Committee staffer, is overheard in a Washington D.C. hotel offering confidential documents to top Israeli military officials.
