Senior Lebanese cleric calls on Islamic countries to stand by Iran

Beirut, Dec 31, IRNA – Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Lebanese Shia Muslims, Sheikh Abd al-Amir Qeblan said on Thursday that all the Muslim countries have to stand by Iran which is a supporter and shelter for the impoverished nations in the Muslim world and the whole globe.

Qeblan made the remarks speaking during a meeting in Beirut with Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali.

‘Islamic Republic of Iran is the center of power of the Muslim world and we always wish progress, prosperity and honor for it,’ Qeblan said.

He said that today Iran, as a main pillar of the Muslim Ummah, has stood firmly against the enemies of Islam to help the victory of Islam.

‘We pray God to help Iran to remain a shelter for the impoverished nations of the world.’
