A drink-driving P-plater has been nabbed travelling at 46kmh above the speed limit in Melbourne’s outer southeast.
Police said the Holden Commodore was travelling at 146kmh in a 100kmh zone on the Mornington Peninsula freeway in Patterson Lakes on Wednesday night.
The driver, 19, of Somerville also allegedly returned a positive alcohol reading and was slapped with penalty notices for speeding and drink-driving.
He was detected as part of the We are the Toll three-month road enforcement campaign, launched amid police predictions the final road toll for 2012 could be 30 to 40 deaths higher than last year.
