After a pair of surprise stars lifted them to a blowout win in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, the San Antonio Spurs have a chance to push LeBron James and the Miami Heat to the brink of elimination on Thursday night.

The Heat were hit with a barrage of three-pointers on Tuesday, most of them coming from San Antonio’s Gary Neal and Danny Green. While those two were having career nights, LeBron James was held under 20 points for the third game in a row. The four-time MVP had just four points at halftime of Game 3 and later summed up his performance by saying that he “played like shit.”
“I take full responsibility for our team’s performance last night,” James said on Wednesday, via CBS Sports. “Me as a leader, I can’t afford to perform like I did last night and expect us to win on the road, it’s that simple. So I’m putting all the pressure on my chest, on my shoulders to come through for our team. That’s the way it is.”
Will LeBron get back on track in Game 4? Will the Spurs’ shooters stay hot? How serious is Tony Parker’s hamstring injury? Can the Spurs win without him at full speed?

Wade’s layup gives Miami a 100-85 lead. Wade has just been unstoppable this entire game. Under 5 minutes to go.

Hate to say it but gotta pull Manu

What a response by Miami, so far. Thought Pop stuck with the two-big lineup a bit too long.

Good Lord Dwyane Wade: 30 points, 6 rebs, 4 assts, 5 stls.

LeBron hasn’t been in the game for the last few minutes but it hasn’t mattered much. Bosh just knocked down a long 2 to give Miami a 95-85 lead. Heat call timeout with 6:04 left in the game. Expect LeBron to be back to close this out.
Wade makes a step-back two-point to make it 92-83 Miami. Ginobili misses a 3 on the other end. He hasn’t done anything tonight. Meanwhile, Bosh posted up and powered his way for a layup. Miami now has an 11-point lead.
No Parker still. Hmmmmmmm
— Dan McCarney (@danmccarneysaen) 2 years ago
Wade jumped a passing lane and picked up a steal, went all the way for the one-handed dunk. Tim Duncan got an easy 2 on the other end to make it 90-83 Miami.

Wade took the ball to the corner and knocked down baseline jumper. 86-79 Miami.
Ray Allen gets his first 3-pointer of the game but Gary Neal answered with a loooooong 3 to make it 84-79 Miami. Haslem picks up an offensive foul on the other end.
Without a doubt, Dwyane Wade putting forth best game of playoffs. He clearly understands championship likely hinges on this game.

Wade has 22 – most points he’s scored in a 2013 playoff game. Both teams bringing it. Miami looks like 2012 Finals Miami tonight.

For the Heat, at least, the series will be defined by the next 12 minutes. Maybe Spurs, too.

Wade got a big offensive rebound on Miami’s last possession of the quarter and that led to a bucket in the paint from LeBron James. Parker missed a shot in the paint at the buzzer so at the end of the third quarter, Miami leads 81-76.
Tony Parker gets into the paint again, causing the defense to collapse and finds Green wide open on the wing for the 3. Unreal. 79-76 Miami.
Spurs got out in transition and Green found Neal on the right wing. With no hesitation, Neal rose up and buried a 3 while falling down. But Wade responded by getting into the paint and taking it right at Green. He made the runner and drew the foul. He made the free throw. 79-73 Miami.
LeBron posts up Danny Green and goes up for a layup, drawing a foul on Danny Green who went for the block. Didn’t look like a good call on the replay. LeBron missed the first free throw and made the second. 75-68 Miami.
