According to Fars news agency, the Syrian Embassy to Kuwait will be open for consular affairs as of Sunday and the Syrian flag will be hoisted over this building.
This comes while roughly 130,000 Syrians, who live in Kuwait, grappled with many problems upon the closure of Syrian embassy in this country, over the past few months.
Upon the failure of opponents in toppling Assad administration, and following the presidential elections in Syria in the year 2014, there have been reports on the normalization of relations between Damascus and a number of Arab and Western countries, including the reopening of Syrian embassies in Egypt and Tunisia.
