Some of the Federal Court proceedings against mining magnate Nathan Tinkler over unpaid debts have been withdrawn.

The Australian Tax Office lodged a case against Mr Tinkler’s companies, including the Newcastle Jets and the Buildev Group, over millions of dollars in unpaid debts.

In March a settlement was reached in the ATO’s case against the Newcastle Knights.

The Federal Court has now heard Buildev has paid its debt to the tax office so that matter has been withdrawn.

Two other matters have been adjourned until next month.
