A young girl was sexually assaulted as she walked along a street in Melbourne’s west on Wednesday.
The 14-year-old girl was walking along South Road approximately 50 metres east of Kingsford Street in Braybrook around 6.20pm (AEST) just before she was attacked.
Police say a man tapped her on the shoulder and when she turned around he pushed her into a fence before indecently assaulting her.
The girl was able to fight him off and run home where she raised the alarm.
The attacker is believed to be aged in his late 30s and Caucasian.
He was wearing a blue hoodie with tight blue jeans.
