Two properties have been broken into and a motorist has been assaulted in a violent crime spree on the Gold Coast.
The spree began about 11.20pm (AEST) on Tuesday when police say a car reversed into a convenience store at Robina.
The thieves stole confectionary and cigarettes before making off in two cars.
Officers found one of the vehicles on fire in the carpark of a Carrara sports club about 1am (AEST).
The club was broken into but it’s not known whether anything was stolen.
And a woman was pulled from her car and assaulted in the carpark of a shopping centre at Molendinar about 2.35am (AEST) in an incident police believe is related.
Her attackers stole the vehicle and it was seen leaving with another car.
