This Time The Defeat Was On Joe Biden

On June 11, 2021, a plan carefully conceived 17 years earlier by the U.S. government was defeated in Cuban neighborhoods and streets.

Born at the end of the Bush era, after more than 50 years of subversive actions had been negated, the new action plan was intended to take advantage of the generational change on the island to put an end to the Revolution.

The new plan contained several lines of action:

  • Build a new counterrevolutionary leadership by granting exchange scholarships, leadership courses and others, to Cuban teenagers and young people.
  • Create a new “independent” press with the participation of prestigious professionals graduated from the Cuban academy.
  • To put into operation media platforms financed and controlled by the U.S. government in the service of ideological warfare.
  • To endow the new counterrevolution with state-of-the-art technology as a means to achieve high levels of communication, influence and mobilization of its forces.
  • To carry forward with new forces the cultural war against Cuba, with the use of new communication and information technologies and the support of the entertainment industry.
  • To build a critical mass of citizens of the island who see as the only solution to the country’s problems, annexation to the U.S. or at least the end of the Revolution.

The project devised in 2004 and born in 2007 should have been ready in 10 years, when the results of its implementation would start to be clearly seen.

At a time, according to Yankee analysts, between 2019 and 2020, a Congress of the PCC should take place in Cuba to elect a new party leadership and, at a later date, elections for a new government in which, for natural causes, the members of the historical leadership of the Revolution would not be present.

That was the key moment to begin to act and release projects such as Genesis, born of the new strategy, which would begin to carry out street actions, to demand changes in the government, constitutional reforms that would modernize socialism.

Assuming a false left-wing position was an essential part of the Genesis concept of “war”, because according to CIA specialists, a right-wing movement, given the history of the country and the circumstances of the moment, would never succeed.

The blow that was dealt to U.S. plans in 2011, with the denunciation known as Reasons for Cuba that exposed the essence of the new policy took them off the rails.

They then moved through unsafe seas after the denunciation and had to improvise until they got their projects back on track.

Barack Obama began a policy of seduction without ever giving up economic pressure, because although this was softened in some sectors of the economy, the blockade remained intact and the financial siege deepened.

With Donald Trump in power, representative of the most retrograde sectors of US politics, the “carrot” presented by Obama was turned back into a stick.

They returned to the hard line of maximum pressure in the belief that the continuing leadership of socialism on the island would not resist and would be abandoned by the people in the face of the hardship they would provoke.

They went all out against the unsubmissive island, millions of dollars were dedicated to achieve success, the best specialists from Washington, the best agents, the full support of the Cuban-American ultra-right, allied with the worst of European and Latin American fascism.

Everything was ready, maximum pressure applied, some leaders, not the ones they aspired to or with the quality they dreamed of, but useful, serious economic problems, pandemic, dissatisfaction in sectors of the people.

On July 11, dozens of cities, hundreds of towns of the Island would rise against the government, the articulation built by the White House, its agencies and Think Tanks began to move.

But it failed, it is true that they managed to get their activists, some criminals summoned and paid by Internet and groups of disgruntled citizens to act in some cities, but the plan collapsed in the face of the response of the revolutionary people, the vast majority took to the streets to defend the Revolution.

It was a defeat, but they could not accept it in any way and in an agonizing demonstration of arrogance they tried to breathe life into their “new counterrevolution”, by perpetuating the shame for a few more days, on November 15, in utter failure.

But like a fish writhing without oxygen on the planks of a pier, the Yankee plan died without shame, 17 years later and many millions squandered, this time the defeat fell to Joe Biden.
