Three natural ways to strengthen your immune system and help prevent Ebola infection

(NaturalNews) With the current Ebola crisis happening in Africa, many are worried that the virus may spread to other parts of the world. While we don’t currently have a verified and effective cure for Ebola, the next best thing that we can do is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. This means strengthening your immune system and arming it to fight at a moment’s notice. The immune system is an amazing mechanism; it’s constantly fighting off foreign invaders and keeping your body free of harmful toxins. It’s also constantly learning and evolving to perform better against pathogens. Here are three amazing natural supplements you can use to aid and strengthen your immune system.

Colloidal silver is one of the best items to have on hand for combating disease. This type of silver solution is made up of silver particles suspended in water. Bacteria generally don’t become resistant to silver, like they do to antibiotics, and it doesn’t expire or lose potency. Colloidal silver is also available in gel and can safely be used topically to prevent infection of cuts, scrapes, burns or wounds. Many natural health experts have praised colloidal silver for its ability to replace almost any antibiotic. In extreme emergency scenarios, such as that posed by an airborne virus, colloidal silver could even be used in a nebulizer and inhaled to deliver it directly to parts of the respiratory system. The UCLA School of Medicine and Syracuse University have tested and showed colloidal silver to be extremely effective against viruses, fungi and bacteria.

Found in the leaves and bark, NDGA is believed to be the compound responsible for chaparral’s anticancer effect. The anticancer effects of this compound are attributed to its ability to block cellular respiration. It has also shown antioxidant activity at the cellular level.

NDGA was found to inhibit non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) growth and reduce colony numbers according to an in vitro study; 85%-90% of lung cancer is NSCLC. Compound NDGA an also function as an antifungal. Additionally, it can also inhibit viruses such as influenza virus, HIV, HPV and herpes simplex virus.

The protective effects of garlic are attributed to allicin, its active compound. Allicin is responsible for garlic’s antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. According to a study in the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, diallyl sulfide, a compound in garlic, was 100 times more effective than two popular antibiotics used to fight Campylobacter bacteria. Garlic also improves DNA repair and has the ability to block the production of cancer-causing substances and stop their activation. Various studies have shown a link between an augmented intake of garlic and a reduced risk of some cancers, including cancers of the colon, pancreas, esophagus, breast and stomach. A piece from the Medical University of South Carolina published in the journal Cancer reported that three organo-sulfur compounds from garlic — DAS, DADS and DATS — “demonstrated efficacy in eradicating brain cancer cells.” HPV can also be destroyed with garlic and, unlike harsh medications, garlic doesn’t deplete friendly bacteria in the colon.
