Small living spaces are big these days, and some don’t look all that livable. This apartment, designed by Madrid’s MYCC Studio actually looks like it would work quite well. The whole thing looks like it is barely six feet wide, (I have written the designers to get the exact width) but there is a place for everything.

The architects tell Designboom about the 100 cubic meter volume:
The interior environment accommodates several sections, which are limited in dimension, but at the same time all are visually connected to each other. with the necessity to define programmed uses, each of them with specific characteristics and size, leads to an image which looks like those old computers platform games. the idea of light and simple flooring results in the possibility to easily jump from one to another.

You enter at the upper left, climb up a bit to the kitchen to create headroom in the bath below, descend to the living and keep going to the sleeping. The ladder takes you up to the bright home office. Every zone has a function, and it works. Just a little wider would be nice, as might a bathroom door. More images in DesignBoom
