A young tree lopper spent two hours dangling upside down from a high branch after a freak accident at a Sydney cemetery.
The 18-year-old was suspended in a tree he was lopping at Rookwood Cemetery, in Sydney’s inner-west, today when a branch became tangled in his harness.
People visiting graves nearby rushed to try and help the man, but he was forced to hang upside down eight metres from the ground until emergency service workers were able to rescue him with a cherry picker.
“He was alright, a bit scared, we tried our best to help him,” a witness told Nine News.
The teen was taken to Westmead Hospital with cuts, bruises and a sore left hip.
