Two Boston hospitals mandating flu shots for workers

Two of Boston’s largest teaching hospitals will require all employees who have contact with patients to get a flu vaccine this fall or face suspension or possibly termination.

The two, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Boston, are part of a 10-hospital coalition that pledged in July to adopt policies “as quickly as logistically feasible’’ to mandate seasonal flu vaccines for all health care workers “as a condition of employment.’’

The hospital rules are aimed at keeping workers healthy so they do not spread the flu to patients and also to ensure that a large number of caregivers do not get sick in the middle of a flu outbreak, when hospitals could be inundated with patients.

  1. Any story like this I’d have to say that vitamin c works wonders in fighting colds and flu, so much so that my work has complained because I haven’t had a sick day off in 18 months.

  2. For all those who are asking themselves ‘Is my job worth taking the dreaded jab?’

Please read “Nobel Prize-Winning Physicist Resigns Over Global Warming”

And because the Bible is what I do…..let me remind those healthcare tortured souls that the greatest son of man, a king, a man of peace, chose to be hung on a tree rather then go along with the collective politically correctness of His day.

He told His disciples to “…let the dead bury the dead, you follow Me”

  3. mean while they are finding dead doctors in closets…. google it

    • …..and with all due respect to Shenanigans.

The dead doctor (singular) was found in a closet due to his own (?) drug abuse problem.

However, the closet was at the above mentioned “Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Boston!

This is how rumors get started.

We all need to blog accurately; otherwise we become part of the dumbing-down of our fellow citizens.

      • The “official” news is usually a rumor. None of us have any way of verifying whether or not this doctor died due to a drug abuse problem. In order to accept the “story” as being true we have trust “authority”, something I personally consider to be a very bad idea. How many times have we been lied to thus far in our lives by those in “authority”? Too many times in my opinion.

  4. SCUM BAGS! FUCK YOU

  5. I USED TO WORK HERE I GOT PEOPLE ALL RILED UP ABOUT NOT GETTING THEIR SHOTS THE LAST TIME.. NEEDLESS TO SAY I END UP GETTIN FIRED… I NEW TEY WERE GUNNA TRY AND MAKE IT MANDATORY AT SOME POINT.. I BEEN WAS ON TO THOSE BIG WIG FUCKERS FROM THE GET GO… THEY DIDN’T LIKE MY POINT OF VIEWS

  6. I have never been in the medical profession, but I once had a doctor who demanded that I get a flu shot as well…. when I told him why I would never ever get a flu shot again, he told me to see the resident therapist….. I told him farewell and got a new doctor.

I feel sorry for all those healthcare workers who are blindly believing that they are being protected…. If they only knew how disposable they are in the eyes of the NWO….

  7. It’s not just in Boston … my wife works for Centura Health here in Colorado Springs , CO. and it is also required for all employees , not just the nursing staff , to get this shot or they are , like you said put on suspension or terminated …

    • I’m also in Colorado and Denver Health is also requiring mandatory vaccinations for all employees as a condition for employment.

  8. College nursing programs do it too. This is normal and they believe it’s of benefit. Whether it is or not remains to be seen. There’s no conspiracy here. It’s part of working in healthcare.

    • I wouldn’t be too sure of that! The question must be asked, why now?! Vaccines have been out for decades, why all of a sudden, you HAVE to have them?! The hospitals say that they want to reduce flu exposure for patients from healthcare workers — that never seemed to be a concern before. Now that the seasonal flu vaccine is also combined with the H1N1 vaccine, there appears to be concerted effort to vaccinate healthcare workers.

The H1N1 in the long run may prove to be highly detrimental to people — only time will tell for sure how detrimental! Currently, there are a host of both mild and severe adverse effects associated with this vaccine and they are stated in the drug insert. Guillain-Barré Syndrome is noted as an exemption from receiving this vaccine in these newly sanctioned mandatory vaccination campaigns. Why is that? If this vaccine was safe, then it should be ok for people who have had this Guillain-Barré to take this vaccine! In addition, if you do have an adverse event from this vaccine, you have very little recourse to fair compensation as new laws have provided pharmaceutical companies with liability protections!

      • Exactly! Why the sudden strong arm tactics? What’s really driving this vaccine frenzy? The scientific evidence against vaccinating is very powerful.

    • My ass! It’s definitely a conspiracy. If these shots are as effective as they claim then they shouldn’t worry about the unvaccinated, after all, the shot will protect them, right? There is plenty of good data that shows it isn’t beneficial and that we’ve been lied to. If it’s standard operating procedure in Health care then it’s the wrong SOP.

    • I’ve worked in healthcare for the last five years, and my mom has been in nursing since before i was born about thirty years now. And as far as i can remember she has been required to get vaccinated as have

      • your website must have had a hiccup… but this is nothing new by any means.. Given the rate of exposure to a variety of bugs that healthcare workers come into contact with on a daily basis. it makes perfect sense for employers to want to prevent their employees form getting sick, and missing work especially during the upcoming flu season. I will take my vaccine this friday sooo there I have read up on peoples allegations from this blog and the references they allege are for the most part bogus and misleading. do the research yourself!! And by all means play close attention o where your citing your information, like the INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL ON VACCINATION is not really an authoritative figure on the subject.. Unless you wholeheartedly believe in bogus homeopathic medicine.

        • Well then, you go and enjoy your shot. “sooo there” to you too.
