Two girls stabbed in fight on Gold Coast

Two girls have been taken to hospital with stab wounds after a fight at a Gold Coast shopping centre.

Police were called to the centre in Robina on Thursday afternoon after reports of a fight involving a group of girls.

Two girls, aged 16 and 17, were taken to the Gold Coast Hospital with stab wounds.

Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives from the Child Protection Investigation Unit are investigating.
