Two men died after their car crashed into a fire truck in Sydney’s west.
The men were travelling south on The Northern Road at Llandilo, near Penrith, at around 6.30pm (AEDT) last night when their Commodore Sedan crashed head on into a Rural Fire Service truck, ABC News reports.
A police spokesperson told The Daily Telegraph it appeared their car had veered on to the wrong side of the road and hit the tanker.
Emergency workers were called to the site of the accident but the two men died at the scene.
The male truck driver was taken to Nepean Hospital for observation.
It is not yet known why the vehicles crashed head on and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
