Video: Ipswich brawl claims two lives
(7pm TV News QLD)
Two men have been charged after a double murder at Ipswich, west of Brisbane, on Saturday night.
Queensland Police were called to a house on Hill Street at North Ipswich just before midnight on Saturday after neighbours reported people fighting.
It is understood there was an argument during a party which developed into an all-out brawl on the street in which three men were stabbed.
A 22-year-old died at the scene, an 18-year-old was taken to the Ipswich Hospital in a critical condition but died a short time later, and a third man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital but his injures were not serious.
On Sunday a 22-year-old man was charged with two counts of murder and one of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
Later in the day, an 18-year-old man was also charged with two counts of murder and one of wounding.
Both are to appear before the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.
