UK feels proud of causing grief of Palestinians

British government feels proud of causing grief of Palestinians as it has emphatically refused to apologise for its promise to give Palestinian to Zionists.

A century ago, the British Foreign Minister Arthur Balfour signed a document, promising to the rreation of the Zionist Jewish state in Palestine.

Since that date, the British government fought the Palestinians in order to pressure them to leave their historical land and at the same time facilitated the immigration of Zionist Jews to it.

The British army, which occupied Palestine between 1922 and 1948, trained the Jewish immigrants and facilitated their life in Palestine, as well as it afforded the most developed weapons for them.

Meanwhile, it persecuted the Palestinians and prevented them from protesting the Jewish aggression on their lands and homes. It also detained any Palestinian with a fruit knife for six months.

Such British persecution against the Palestinians continued until the 1948, when the Israeli gangsters announced the establishment of their state –Israel.

That time, tens of thousands of Palestinians were killed by the British army, as well as the Jewish gangs.

Although the UK claims its respect to the international law and human rights, it has been helping the Israeli Zionist state causing more and more suffering to the Palestinians.

After one hundred years, the UK feels proud of its persecution of the Palestinians and helping the gangster state and is preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.

In February, the Balfour Apology Campaign, run by the Palestinian Return Centre rights group, launched a petition on the British parliament website calling on Britain to “openly apologise to the Palestinian people for issuing the Balfour Declaration.

The colonial policy of Britain between 1917-1948 led to mass displacement of the Palestinian nation.”

Last week the UK Foreign Office posted a response to the petition, which reads: “The Balfour Declaration is an historic statement for which HMG (her Majesty’s Government) does not intend to apologise. We are proud of our role in creating the State of Israel.”
