The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits rose to the highest level since January last week, casting doubt over the strength of the recovery in the jobs market.
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 13,000 to a seasonally adjusted 380,000 people, the Labour Department said today, defying economists’ expectations for a drop to 355,000.
The four-week moving average for new claims, considered a better measure of labor market trends, also rose, climbing 4,250 to 368,500.
Some economists blamed the Easter holidays for the spike in claims and expected applications to trend lower in coming weeks.

Both political parties are responsible for this.
The president is a figurehead joke run by the big Wall Street scammers turned banksters who fund him.
Sotero can’t get reelected without something drastic happening like a race war or some other government sponsored false flag crisis.
Romney’s is also backed financially by the same crowd as the president is and his base consists of the die hard, brain dead Replicrats who think electing this clown will change something.
There is no hope and change coming from either political party, no relief in sight either.
The under reported unemployment numbers are not getting better and will not get better until the whole rotten ediface collapses.
The world is in a depression created by the 1 party system.
As long as significant numbers of people actively support the 2 parties there can be no change as there is no difference between the parties except what the MSM want you to see and believe.
You are your own best hope. Get to know your neighbors. Can you depend upon them?
