Award-winning Greek-Australian recording artist VASSY has topped Australian and American dance charts one more time with her latest single, “CHASE.” The song reached #1 on the Mediabase Dance Radio Chart in the US & The Aria Dance Chart in Australia.

VASSY shared her excitement for the song’s success:

“I’m so happy to hear CHASE is the #1 most played dance record across the country. I thank all the Radio Stations supporting & the amazing Program Directors who all got behind this song from day one. Big shout out to all the Mixshow Dj’s playing it & to all the Dj Tastemakers for featuring it in their radio shows, Tiësto, Guetta, Afrojack, Chainsmokers, Aoki, Nervo & so on…I’m beyond grateful!!

VASSY, whose real name is Vassy Karagiorgos, was born to Greek parents in Australia and grew up in the Oceania country. Karagiorgos is currently based in Los Angeles, California.

VASSY is a multi-platinum award-winning artist who has released huge songs with dance music icons like David Guetta and Tïesto. Her single “Bad,” a collaboration with Showtek and David Guetta, has been streamed 1 billion times.

“It was so exciting to receive this award for being on the The 1,000,000,000 List. It’s such an honour considering that my career first started when I was acknowledged by APRA AMCOS in Australia before leaving for the US. To be acknowledged once again for one of my biggest records that I wrote and performed, which went number one in many countries around the world, putting me on the map globally as an Australian artist, singer and songwriter, was a great privilege..” said VASSY.

The release of “CHASE” earned the Greek-Australian LA-based artist the honor of being projected over New York City’s Times Square in May.

“CHASE” was written while VASSY was stranded in the US during the beginning of quarantine for the coronavirus. The song itself seems to embody the feeling of yearning to do something more, and is about surrendering to your inner demons’ desire to dance.

The new single came about as VASSY and the Bonka producers were chatting on the phone about how much they missed Australia. VASSY played a demo of the song over the phone to the duo and they immediately realized they had a hit on their hands.

“I teamed up with the boys as I was feeling very homesick and really missing Australia. Not being able to go back home because of the pandemic and quarantine restrictions that the Australian government placed, we ended up wanting to work on this song together, which was so amazing.

“It felt really good to make this with my fellow Australians and I am so excited to release this in Australia, as well as the US,” says VASSY of her addictive new release.
