Awake Goy TEHRAN, Dec. 24 (MNA) – Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening said that the Iraqi nation is a great nation in the Arab world which stands against the greed of enemies.
Ali Akbar Velayati made the remarks on Wednesday in a meeting with a number of Iraqi scholars, researchers, heads of academic centers as well as officials of the country’s culture ministry. Held at the Strategic Research Center of Iran’s Expediency Council, the session was on mutual cooperation.
Talking about regional issues, Velayati said “The Iraqi nation stands against the greed of powers which tend to disintegrate some regional countries including Iraq and Syria.”
“Powers of such countries is indeed a threat to the world however they will never achieve their goal”, he noted.
During the session, the participating scholars and figures presented their opinions and urged the Strategic Research Center to cooperate with Iraq on transferring experiences in the field of strategic researches and launching similar centers which was welcomed by Velayati.
