FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Though a Melbourne teenager was sentenced to 13 years in jail for murdering Indian student Nitin Garg, the Australian court’s verdict has brought little relief to the victim’s family.
Nitin’s mother Parveen Garg said on Thursday that she had lost her son and he would never return. “His
murder in Australia was very traumatic for the whole family,” she said. “Those memories still haunt us and we haven’t come out of our grief.”
Asked if she was satisfied with the judgment, she said it made no difference if the guilty teenager spends 13 years in jail as it would not bring Nitin back.
The Gargs are a business family from Jagraon town in Ludhiana district. Nitin’s elder brother Hanish Garg said the culprit should have been given a harsher sentence.
He said there were some reports in the media earlier that two people were involved in the stabbing, but only one had been convicted. “No family should go through such a tragedy,” he said.
The killing came amid a string of attacks in late 2009 and early 2010 against Indian students in Melbourne. The teenager pleaded guilty in April to one count of murder and one count of attempted armed robbery in the killing of 21-year-old Nitin Garg on January 2, 2010.
