A 20-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm over the death of a 14-year-old girl in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
The girl’s body was found in scrub off McLennan Drive in the mining town of Newman just before 7am (WST) on Wednesday.
Police on Thursday said the man would appear via videolink at Karratha Magistrates Court later on Thursday.
The pair were known to each other, police said.
Media reports said it was believed the victim suffered a head injury.
