Who Shot Down Facebook?

Who shot down Facebook? It seems internet guru Mark Zuckerberg is guilty. The hapless enterprise has achieved notoriety as the social forum department of what was once referred to as mainstream media. Online despot Mark Zuckerberg, much derided by anti-Israeli commentators, has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Unsurprisingly the sobriquet attached to Facebook is now Failbook.

The CIA controlled forum’s popularity is worse than waning; it is in free-fall. Google Trends, the most respected of the various data analytical research bodies revealed, “Within 36 months Facebook users will be back to 2008 levels.” The report, taken seriously by the industry, concludes by saying, “Facebook will struggle to stay relevant to users’ lives.”

Zuckerberg’s collaboration with despised German Chancellor Angela Merkel, according to some experts, has hastened the demise of Facebook. Others say,

What is the point of Facebook when it is simply another department of the Daily Mail online, managing input to create the illusion of an independent media?

International condemnation of Facebook by millions opposed to Israel’s abuse of human rights has been strident. This follows Zuckerberg’s vow to delete anti-Israel comment and to disable the accounts of those who express concern at Israeli or Merkel policy. This will further isolate a social media icon whose income is largely derived from the American version of the KGB, the notorious Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Are Facebook’s days numbered? No, not for those who enjoy coffee morning convention. For the real world, Facebook’s fall from grace is good news. Tens of millions of those who make up the more astute section of society will refer instead to truly independent news disseminators like the one you are now reading.

The blow-back from disablement can be compared to the gun-democracies failed anti-Russian sanctions policy. It is a defeatist strategy wet-dreamed up by those whose alternative means of persuasion deserted them.

It reduces the CIA’s flow of information. It boosts interest in rival social media; disablement obliges users to extend their information needs to less controlled media. As a consequence Facebook, like its string-pullers, now finds itself in a no-win situation. The more users they disable the more their rivals cheer.
