The US has its fingers in many pies around the world, but it is trouble on the home front that the Republican Presidential candidates are using to try and woo voters and undermine Obama’s re-election hopes.
RT spoke to American foreign policy scholar John Ferrer, who says foreign policy is traditionally low among the electoral issues in the US, and in the unfolding campaign it is even more so.
The Obama administration was careful to leave little room for criticism of its international policies for Republicans, he argues. So whoever of the GOP will run for the White House, will have to focus on economy and certain cultural issues.
