You cell phone, the AI in your hand, knows the sound of your voice, what you look like, where you have physically been, where you have shopped, what you have shopped for, all the Internet searches you have performed and what you prefer to do in your spare time. The microphone can be turned on remotely, even when the phone is off. You have a digital twin on the Internet. All of this information on you is sold to corporations that develop secret, “Surveillance scores,” similar to the, “Social credit scores” used by China. In the US secret tech companies generate these surveillance scores, digital images of you, to predict your future behavior. The firms sell these surveillance scores to major US corporations. These companies use these secret scores to decide whether to hire you, if a landlord should rent to you and your availability for credit. A serious concern is, your phone can record every mistake you make, information that can later be used against you. Cell phones are designed intentionally to be addictive, ensuring most people will be easily monitored. So, next time you pick up your phone, you will see the digital you in your hand.
