An aide to former Secretary of State Colin Powell has hit out at Dick Cheney, saying the former Vice President fears being ‘tried as a war criminal’.
Powell’s long-time aide and chief of staff, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson told ABC news Cheney, ‘Was president for all practical purposes for the first term of the Bush administration,’ adding, ‘[He] fears being tried as a war criminal.’
The attack comes in the wake of attempts by Cheney to publicise his new book, with Powell accusing the one-time vice president of taking ‘cheap shots’ at the former Bush administration.
According to early reports, Cheney’s forthcoming book breaks with the former administration’s version of events.
But former Secretary of State Powell has dismissed Cheney’s sensational claims as ‘supermarket tabloid’ material designed to ‘pump up sales’.
He brushed off Cheney’s claims that Powell tried to undercut President Bush’s policies in Iraq.

I read about and saw pictures of bio-weapons that Iraq had WMD’s that the USA gave them years earlier to fight wars the USA wanted when they put Saddam in power as a dictator. The USA didn’t want this to be found out and this is why they went in to rid them of being discovered. As it was a violation of the war treaty the USA and other countries signed. It was a war crime to give these boi-weapons to Saddam and they were going to be found out by the world this is why Bush and others are considered war criminals and the world has warrants for their arrests.

He wanted to get in to the Middle East so bad that he was willing, at the least, to allow a CIA monitored, if not supported, group to carry out an attack so that Americans would demand a response. Why else would he order a stand down of air defense as a plane headed for the Pentagon? Blowing building seven was SOP for dealing with secret information that the government did not want to get in to the wrong hands, like the public media. Cheney is responsible for many times more deaths of innocent children and women in the Middle East than Saddam. Cheney should first be waterboarded and then treated like Saddam Hussein.
