A teacher claimed that she was left destroyed after a student performed a striptease on her in school, according to court proceedings.
The high school teacher from central Israel sued the former student whose striptease, she says, left her emotionally scarred for life.
The incident occurred three years ago, when the high school student decided to assemble a striptease ceremony on class, which he claims was cheerful. Hailed by his classmates, the teenager gradually stripped of his clothes to his underwear in the middle of class, while dancing to the rhythm of a song blaring from a player.
The teacher’s name was written on his chest with the words “I’ve been a bad boy”, and he was wearing tight boxer shorts, she said.
The teacher recalled that she wanted out of the classroom, but the door was blocked by the adolescent students who cheered and even recorded the incident. She tried to hide behind a desk, but he went on and rubbed against her, even after she tried to push him away.
“I said, ‘Do not cry,'” she said. “I felt I had nowhere to run.”
The striptease session lasted for five minutes and left her traumatized. She suffered an emotional
crisis, spiraling into depression and had to seek therapy. Her doctors ordered her to leave teaching.
The National Insurance Institute described the case as an accident at work and determined that she had suffered permanent emotional disability.
“Students told me to take it easy,” she said. “The boy approached me afterwards and said it was a joke, but I did not feel that way.”
Three years later, she is suing the former student, his parents, the school principal and the Ministry of Education for NIS 1.5 million or approximately $395,000.
The boy’s parents say the teacher is exploiting their child’s prank in order to retire early.
