Tens of thousands of people have called for rioters and looters to lose their benefits.
An online petition demands welfare-dependent rioters convicted of offences linked to disorder sweeping the country should surrender their state handouts.
The petition, which has more than 78,000 signatures, says: “No taxpayer should have to contribute to those who have destroyed property, stolen from their community and shown a disregard for the country that provides for them.”
If 100,000 people sign the petition, it would trigger a process that could end with MPs voting on the plan.

Great idea. I’m sure you “tens of thousands of people” on the petition list won’t mind more desperate and homeless on the streets and more people in need of a means to survive….any way they must.
Let me know how your famous kneejerk response works out for you, while you bolt your doors and are afraid to leave your houses, because the mob outside are looking for food.

If I could lose my benefits I could improve my situation a great deal but then an unfunny bear can have a lot of babies very quickly.
I can only hope they will think before they act and there by avoid injuring themseleves.
I have reason to think I am unique in the wild and should remain that way.
Does that say “Loose” in the title or “Noose” cause this is treason and their is only one way to deal with that.
That’s right… poor people, burning down lower middle class business’s and homes. That is truly attacking your own countryman.
If they attacked a bank…maybe I’d smile. But when you watch a woman jump out of an aptartment window because her home is on fire, it’s time for cold calculated executions.
I don’t think so, it will just create a new gangsters desperate for food and money.
Has everyone in the world forgotten how to spell ‘Lose’? WTF?

It would appear to be chronic in that I see lose misspelled everywhere.
