FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda According to a phone survey conducted between August 15 and 18 by the German-language Stern weekly news magazine, with a sampling of 1,540 German adults, 60 percent of respondents said they are opposed to any military and foreign intervention in Syria.
Thirty percent of those surveyed said they support such an offensive, while 6% had no idea.
The German public opposition to Syria war comes as Berlin hosted a gathering of Syrian opposition representatives and diplomats on September 4 to discuss a common road map to shape Syria after President Bashar al-Assad’s departure.
The meeting’s host, German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, said the divided Syrian opposition must urgently unite.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011.
Damascus says outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists are the driving factor behind the unrest and deadly violence while the opposition accuses the security forces of being behind the killings.
The Syrian government says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country and accuses Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey of arming the opposition.
