Former Melbourne Renegades’ coach Michael Klinger is moving to Sydney to take on the job of coaching the NSW Men’s cricket side.

The former batsman who scored over more than 11,000 runs in his career.
Michael Klinger said: “I’m grateful for the opportunity that I was given by the Melbourne Renegades. I’d like to thank everyone at the Renegades for their continued support throughout. Although the seasons didn’t go to plan, I thoroughly enjoyed my time as head coach and can see a bright future in the coming seasons with such a young and talented group.
I wish them all the best for the future. My new role as Head of Men’s Cricket with CNSW is an extremely exciting position. I’m looking forward to this great opportunity working with Greg Mail and their senior squads, pathways and Big Bash programs.”
Taking time off for preparing for the move to Sydney with his wife Cindy and their three children, Maxie as his friends and supporters call him, told J-Wire: “I know a few people in Sydney but not too well. I’m sure I will over time.”
In his long cricketing career, the 40-yr-old Klinger played for Victoria, South Australia, the Indian Premier League, English county side Gloucester, and Western Australia.
