FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda I would like to warn all users of mywot.com toolbar that it is a spyware! It monitors all the websites that you visit and sends the information back to their systems along with identifying data. Here’s how to prove it.
1. First take a system snapshot so that when you are done you can uninstall and restore the system back.
2. Install a network analyzer(wireshark.org). With this tool you can see exactly what data is coming in and going out of your computer. This will give you undeniable proof
3. Run wireshark and set filter to monitor all outgoing TCP traffic(this filter is important other wise you will have tons of data to sift through).
4. Install the mywot toolbar on a computer that you use for casual stuff. I advise against doing any financial transactions from this computer while running this experiment
5. Next close all apps that make use of Internet(such as yahoo messenger, skype etc). This is to prevent wireshark from capturing their traffic
6. Now use your web browser(the one that has the toolbar) to browse variety of sites regularly. Make sure you DO NOT go to mywot.com during the test otherwise you will not be able to separate the spyware traffic from the regular visit. Keep watching the trace regularly
Important
– You may have to keep this running for several days, because it seems that this spyware detects computer usage and only sends data at unpredictable times. I saw a data dump on the second night around 1am. That is why reputable sites like download.com are not able to flag this as a spyware because it sends data after several days and at random times(they dont run such long duration tests)
– Wireshark captures lots of data and can be intimidating, but be patient and look at the packets carefully. Their site has great help and support
– Reputable anitivirus/spyware/security tools (norton, mcafee, kaspersky et al) will ACTUALLY keep you safe and are based on REAL technology and science versus some site run by teenage monkeys who are rating sites based on their feelings and intuition.
My results:
I saw spyware traffic going out to IP address 217.149.52.196. Go to whatismyip.com and click on IP address lookup on the left, and enter the IP address, you will see that the IP address is located in Helsinki Finland. Now goto mywot.com and click on About Us(all the way to the bottom). Guess who is based in Helsinki. Wireshark will show you everything that this spyware is sending out. Finally, keep an eye out for version updates. I bet that as soon as this post is out we will see new version updates of the toolbar. Make sure you do not allow automatic updates otherwise all evidence will be lost. SAVE ALL captured data as it may help in a class action lawsuit that is underway and you may be requested to upload the evidence. This time mywot.com will not escape justice. I initially thought of pasting my dump but then decided to spend the time to document the steps instead. It is better for you to see with your own eyes instead of just believing my results(I can fake the data right?).
Ancient stories do have valuable lessons. Dont ever forget what happened when the Trojon horse was welcomed into Troy. You have been warned.
