‘Ninth Majlis to defend Iranian N-rights’

“The US and other bullying states should know that the 9th Majlis will struggle to the last breath to safeguard rights of the [Iranian] nation and they should not think that we do not pay heed to such artful deceits,” said Larijani on Monday.

If they seek to negotiate with Iran, they should be honest and avoid wasting time, he added.

Larijani emphasized that the Majlis should monitor international developments, particularly Iran’s nuclear issue.

On Thursday, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that Washington will not ease sanctions on Iran before a third round of talks between Iran and the six major world powers (P5+1) in Moscow.

“As we lay the groundwork for these talks, we will keep up the pressure as part of our dual-track approach. All of our sanctions will remain in place and continue to move forward during this period,” she told reporters.

Iran and the P5+1 (Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States plus Germany) wrapped up two days of comprehensive talks in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on May 24.

Iran and the P5+1 have agreed to hold another round of talks in Moscow on June 18-19.
