Olympics debacle harms UK troops

Commanding officers in Britain have said that British occupying forces in Afghanistan would have to extend their six-month stay in the country by up to a month after Zionist-backed British private security company G4S said it could not provide enough Olympics security staff.

G4S’s failure to provide enough security staff should be compensated for by the British army and an additional 3,500 army soldiers should be deployed during the Olympic Games.

A Ministry of Defence (MoD) spokesperson, however, raised concerns that the increase in the number of army soldiers deployed in London during the Olympics could affect Britain’s presence in Afghanistan.

“Afghanistan remains the priority for the MoD. This [Olympic deployment] is really important to us and it is going to mean changes, but we can’t affect operations overseas to conduct domestic duties”, said the spokesperson.

Security measures for the 2012 London Olympics involve 17,000 military personnel on duty and 12,500 police officers.

Furthermore, with jets and helicopters ready to shoot down planes flying over the Olympic Park, the British navy’s biggest warship being moored on the Thames and missiles deployed on the rooftops of residential flats, London is more like a city preparing for war instead of an international peaceful event.
