Poland interested in Iran LNG projects: Official

TEHRAN, March 9 (Shana) – Director General for Europe, America, and Caspian Sea Neighbors in the Ministry of Petroleum said that Poland is interested to participate in Iran’s LNG projects as well as buying crude oil.

“Polish firms have also expressed their readiness to be present in oil industry’s upstream and downstream sectors,” Hossein Esmaeili told Shana on Wednesday.
His comments were made following a meeting here on Tuesday between Deputy Petroleum Minister for International Affairs and Commerce Amir-Hossein Zamani-Nia and Poland’s Deputy Development Minister Radoslaw Domagalski.

“Warsaw wants to diversify its energy resources, he added, as it is importing 90 percent of its crude oil or 400,000 barrels a day and 60 percent of gas from Russia,” Esmaeili said.
