When the high school in Tewksbury, Mass., decided it was going to take a proactive stance on security, they installed one of the most sophisticated integrated security systems.

The idea was precipitated by Police Chief John Mackey in terms of his concern for the welfare and well being of the children.

In conjunction with the Tewksbury Police Department and the Tewksbury Memorial High School(TMHS), Vanguard Managed Solutions, Mansfield, Mass., formerly Motorola Multiservice Networks Division, issued its SafeWatch security approach to alleviate security concerns at the high school. Motorola is helping the local law enforcement respond to emergencies by providing real-time or archived access to information in potentially dangerous situations.

Anthony Romano, principal of TMHS said that Chief Mackey drafted a proposal and met with school officials and Dr. Christine McGrath, Superintendent of Schools, to discuss it. The proposal was to add a security system at TMHS and expand that eventually to other public schools in the town.

  1. Things are getting very Animal House. The quality of education has descended to the lower depths of Hades. Critical thinking skills have eroded and corroded. In my high school, not a public school, we were way too busy with studying and getting the best grades and competing in sports..and getting the best girls. We did have a security cam at the entrance, however, we had an honor code and knew what would happen if we really got too rowdy. The biggest problem was finding a parking space if you drove to school at 16 and not being late for class. We did not need cameras watching us all over the place. Yes, we had fights but they were minor because we knew would be hauled off to the Headmaster.

These people have the psychology of education all wrong. Anyone with a brain can go and read the total harassment Robert Wanek went through in his public high school in Breckinridge. He really sums it up very well. He is extremely bright, is very independently minded, and an advocate for 911 Truth. Nsanesk8r007 was treated very harshly by the school administration for having an excellent mind with fine critical thinking skills and expressing himself in accordance with the Constitution.

  2. Oh yeah, my post below ignores the main point. They use things like Columbine to further their hyper-surveillance police state agenda.

    Acknowledged.

    Moving on.

  3. Like the farmer(govt) he MUST watch over the little farm animals and to make sure they grow up nice and fat.

  4. So this is all because of Columbine…which admittedly, was a serious bloodbath, with many of the targeted being professed Christians….
Also, the Columbine shooters were relentlessly mocked and bullied in the years preceding.

So, a message from a believer in Jesus to professed “Christian” parents and their kids…
You need to teach by example that it is not good to ostracise kids who are “weird”, introverted, have eclectic mucic tastes, etc. When your kids come home or when you pick them up from school and they point out “look at that Satan-worshipping goth girl, she makes me sick” or “there goes the school weirdo”, or the like, you need to school them in the way of Jesus, who would never, and did never judge the sinner, but instead reserved his harshest comments for those who PROCLAIMED to be holy…the scribes, Sadducees, and Pharisees. He ate with the sinners and publicans. He saved a prostitute from stoning.
I’m not excusing the brutal shooting or saying the victims had it coming. I’m just saying that its certain that the shooters went down the line, asking if certain ones were Christians, and when they said “yes”….boom. Why did they feel so victimized by Christians? Could it be the “exclusive holy club” mentality exhibited by todays emergent-church taught, right-wing Christian youth, who wouldn’t have taken one second to actually try to approach the would-be shooters in friendship? Christian parents, stop teaching your kids to be scared of other kids, and teach them to reach out, bridge gaps, and LOVE others!! And no, every word out of their mouth doesn’t have to be about Jesus!! He wants us to act in love, not just shove His name in others’ faces. Plant seeds. Water them. In time, love will grow.

    • Tactless Michael Moore (of the afterbirther movement) featured campy interviews in “Bowling for Columbine.” I watched Marilyn Manson, an ordained minister of the Church of Satan, saying how he would have listened to the children. I listened them for many hours, studied them, even. And, so far as we can tell, not one Christan enacted one nameable chapter and verse, at the expense of these mass murderers.

I hear the socialist mainstream calling for school uniforms, worrying that homeschoolers may engage in obscure hobbies and interact with other human beings, in voluntary, spontaneous circumstances.

And, I find it ironic to be told that bored, dim bulbs felt like they were being judged and stole some guns, because, as they put it, Christians didn’t deserve the jawbones which evolution gave them, to put other people under the gun for their faith, and to be called the martyr, yourself.

  5. If this was a college campus or even a public university this might not even bother me.Given that everything is already “assumed” public domain and watch by the numerous cameras anyhow. But this is just an underhanded trick to either get parents in trouble based upon some minor infraction a student may incur and or part of the move to sever children from their home to be under the control of the state.
