Awake Goy TEHRAN, March 2 (Shana) – The administrator in charge of development of the South Pars gas field’s phases 20 and 21 said that by completion of the second sweetening train of the phases’ refinery, its first unit will be inaugurated by yearend (March 20).
Alireza Ebadi told Shana that because the first sweetening train of the phases’ refinery is ready, there are efforts underway to receive the sour gas from phases 6-8 in order to launch the refinery’s first train.
“It is expected that the second sweetening unit of the refinery will also be completed in the next two weeks,” he added.
“Considering that the off-shore section is not ready yet and will be completed next year, if the weather conditions are suitable, the refinery will be launched being fed with the gas from phases 6 to 8,” Ebadi told Shana in January.
