Trump will, we are told, appoint the head of Karl’s Jr. as the head of his Department of Labor.
I don’t know anything about this guy.
I don’t eat fast food, and if I ever do, it’s only Wendy’s.
And no, that’s not my Ohio pride, or because I’m into redheads like Ken from IAR, but because they are actually the best burger.

Fast food executive Andrew Puzder is President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Labor, transition sources told Fox News on Thursday.
Puzder is CEO of CKE Restaurants Inc., which owns Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s.
He is a Trump adviser who has been critical of the Affordable Care Act’s impact on full-time employment. He’s also opposed steep increases in the minimum wage and has warned about the damaging effects of overregulation.
Puzder would represent the latest Trump pick sharply at odds with the Obama administration on domestic policy.
Trump announced Thursday morning that he intends to nominate Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt – an outspoken critic of the EPA – to lead the environmental agency.
…As with Pruitt at the EPA, Puzder could portend significant changes at the Labor Department if nominated and confirmed. The Obama Labor Department, for instance, has pushed for an expansion of overtime eligibility – one area where Puzder could seek a rollback.
The Californian was one of Trump’s earliest campaign financiers. Puzder was a co-chairman of Trump’s California finance team, and he was organizing fundraisers well before most major donors got on board with the Republican presidential nominee.
Seems pretty good.
And if you were wondering – and something tells me you probably were – no, there is no indication he is Jewish.
In fact, a 2013 Business Insider article on religious companies says he’s a devout Catholic, and that Carl’s Jr. opens office meetings with a prayer:

Carl Karcher, who founded the company, was a committed Catholic who funded Catholic charities, and started a tradition of saying the Pledge of Allegiance and having a prayer before meetings that persists to this day, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.The company’s current CEO, Andy Puzder, was a close friend of the deceased Karcher, and shares the same religious convictions according to The Orange County Register.
So, white Christian male.
