Watch, for 2nd day, Israeli forces raid Al-Aqsa Mosque

Days of Palestine, Jerusalem -Israeli occupation forces raided Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday, securing tour of extremist Jewish settlers and assaulting Muslim worshipers.

This raid is the second since the start of the last ten days of holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims have to intensify worship and exist in large numbers inside Al-Aqsa Mosque.

At least 43 Muslim worshipers were reported wounded by the Israeli occupation forces inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“It is a clear and intended step to incite anger of the Muslim worshippers,” Hani Naweera, one of the worshipers, said. “The Israeli Special Forces evacuated tens of Muslim worshipers, including elderly from the Mosque and allowed extremist Jewish settlers to go around it.”

Director of the Islamic Endowment and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib said that “it was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who made the decision to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

He said that Israeli police stressed on Sunday midnight that Al-Maghrabeh Gate, where Jewish extremists usually go through when they storm Al-Aqsa Mosque, “would remain closed during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan.”

For several years, added Sheikh al-Khatib, Jewish worshipers and tourists have not been allowed into the Al-Aqsa compound during the last ten days of Ramadan, as the days are particularly sacred to Muslims.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli occupation forces prevented the entrance of Sohour, the pre-fasting meal for Muslim worshipers, from being dropped off to the worshipers.
