Israel plans 3 new Jewish settlements in occupied Jordan Valley

Israeli occupation government to build three new Jewish settlements in occupied Jordan Valley, housing about 10,000 Jewish settlers, and to expand existing settlements with 14 new neighbourhoods.

On Tuesday, Israeli housing ministry and Jewish National Fund (JNF) released the plan for the illegal building in the occupied Jordan Valley.

The plan includes the establishment of new settlement that would increase the number of Israeli Jewish settlers living in the occupied West Bank by about 10,000.

In Jordan Valley, there are 20 illegal Israeli Jewish settlements with a total of 4,500 illegal Jewish settlers. The government wants to triple this number.

Earlier this year, a settlement called Amihi was approved, to house illegal settlers evicted from the illegal outpost of Amona. It was the first new settlement to be approved in the Jordan Valley in years.

Jewish settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories is considered illegal by the international community.
