U.N. Security Council issued condemnation of Syria on August 4.

On August 5, Russia sent a stern warning to Syria. “We are watching how the situation is developing. It’s changing, and our approach is changing as well,” said Dmitry Medvedev in an interview to the Russian Izvestia newspaper.

Medvedev’s message was important because the only thing standing between a United Nations Security Council resolution with stronger language on Syria is Russia and China.

At the same time, Russia’s envoy to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, said the UN Security Council’s August 4 condemnation of the violence in Syria “means that the planning [of a military campaign against Syria] is well underway. It could be a logical conclusion of those military and propaganda operations, which have been carried out by certain Western countries against North Africa.”

Now comes another signal that an attack may be coming soon:

The United Nations announced Wednesday it is temporarily withdrawing some staff from Syria in light of the government’s violent crackdown on demonstrators.

Michael Williams, the U.N. special coordinator for Lebanon, said 26 non-essential international staff and their families are being relocated from Syria, the United Nations said in a release.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has spoken out in recent days against the crackdown, in which as many as 2,000 people have been killed in the last five months.

Here is an excerpt from the book Scarlet and the Beast, in which, unless I am incorrect in my evaluation, I’m no expert, parallels to what is going on now in Syria. “On June 25, 1980, the Muslim Brotherhood tried to assassinate Hafiz al-Asad of Syria-an Alawite Muslim (Shiite sect). He called in the Defense Comanies and ordered, “Level the city.” Two days of continuous shelling left Hama a pile of rubble, killing 20,000, including most of the Muslim Brotherhood. Hafiz al-Asad (1928-2000) was not happy to go down in history as the butcher of Hama, or the man who destroyed a world-class historic city, but it was either that or run for it, along with a million other Alawites.”

How in the hell does Israel have so much influence over our foriegn policy? I know Israel doesn’t like…well most of their neighbors, but HOW do they get us to do what they want over and over and how are we still giving them $3bil a year? Is Israel the only reason why we hate Iran? I’m trying to look online but I’m getting a bunch of opinion. I heard Dr. Paul talk about the CIA’s puppet government, but that obviously tanked.

Does anyone have a single reason why Israel has so much influence on American politics? Someone help me out, here. I’m gonna take a shot in the wind and say it has something to do with the Bible, but I don’t know that.

If NATO continues to destabilize country after country they’ll have to realize that eventually China or Russia will come into the fight. Most people don’t think of China as being involved in World War 2. For those people I recommend the book / film “The Rape of Nam King”.
