WISCONSIN RAPIDS – An emergency medical technician and former police officer charged with sexually assaulting a child under 5 years old now faces new charges involving two other children.
Jacob M. Swiedarke, 31, of the village of Port Edwards was charged Thursday with two additional counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. If convicted of all three counts, Swiedarke faces a maximum sentence of more than 180 years in prison.
According to the new criminal complaint:
After officials learned a girl under age 5 had said Swiedarke had inappropriate contact with her, a woman talked to two other girls, both younger than 10, about Swiedarke.
The two girls both described Swiedarke having inappropriate contact with them. One of the two girls said Swiedarke forced her to have oral sex with him. The other girl described Swiedarke having sexual intercourse with her.
Both girls said they didn’t like the things Swiedarke did and said that it hurt. One of the girls said Swiedarke gave them money afterward.
Tom Weaver, Ascension Wisconsin spokesman, said Swiedarke was suspended from his job with Spirit Ambulance in Stevens Point at the time the first charge was filed against him. None of the charges are related to Swiedarke’s employment.
Swiedarke also is a former police officer for the Adams County town of Rome, but had resigned several years ago, Rom Police Chief Jason Lauby said.
Swiedarke is free on a $50,000 signature bond set in the first case. His first appearance on the new charges is scheduled for Nov. 20.
